He definately has to start showing us more. Currently Ade is STILL our best striker BY A MILE and its looking like £26m badly spent. We'd have been better offering Swansea £26m for Michu, his injury aside
You mean the 12 games, 2 goals, and 1 assist Michu? In comparison to 18 games, 5 goals, and 4 assists Soldado?

Hell, I'm a big fan of Michu and I don't think Soldado has been as good as expected. Despite of that, Soldado has had the better seasons of the two (and that's even without EL stats where Michu is 2 for 3 and Soldado is 3 for 2.)

They should take Soldado to Brazil purely in case a penalty shootout arises. Coolness personified.

I can't help thinking he would be much happier on a personal level, in Valencia, and playing for Valencia..

It's worth remembering he was forcing the move to us otherwise he would probably still be there, we haven't seen anything close to what's he's capable of.

"I had my doubts in the beginning, just by watching the types of goals he scores."

Likewise, really couldn't see what all the fuss was about. He's a Defoe type of goal scorer though without the occasional Defoe whack from an improbable angle. The only upgrade on Defoe is his holdup play and the ability to put a nice through ball in. Those two things have basically stopped him being absolutely slaughterer by all and sundry this season.

I hope you have the humility to admit you were too quick to judge when he starts scoring regularly for us.

He's impressed me lately with his vision and excellent touches, there is a lot more to his game than goals (which is strange we aren't seeing enough just yet) . The last game against Crystal Palace was poor, probably the worst I have seen him. Hope he gets out of first gear soon, we're very close to the top 4 so it's not all doom and gloom yet

A) He's no better than Defoe at hold up or passing
B) People in here are so mental he could do zilch all season and most would still conclude he's better than our 5th highest scorer of all time.

I can understand why people would question his return in front of goal, but that statement? Really..? I mean, really? His vision and therefore his ability to pick an effective pass is so much better than Defoe...

In half a season (during which he is acclimatising to the new league, team, etc) Soldado has one assist fewer than in Defoe's highest ever assisting season.

Needs to score more to justify the fee, but all round game and ability to create is miles ahead of Defoe.
