Appreciate Ali's info but he always has a dose of anti-Levy thrown into his ITK recently. But atleast we got some other names for the managerial list.

Can't copy and paste it yet but quotes from Tim in papers tomorrow having a go at Levy.

Saying how the 'silence is deafening' and how it's up to levy. Doesn't know if he was at the game yesterday and says he might have been travelling - don't know what that was meant to mean.

All big papers running with story that we want Van Gaal. Seems like Tim wants Baldini's job. Supposedly Tim wasn't told about the appointment of Broomfield

I disagree with the article that Sherwood's quotes necessarily suggest he is angling for Baldini's job. His former job title at the club was technical director, was it not? So by saying that he's open to the possibility of being technical director, it seems to me as though he's simply saying that he'd return to his former position as head of youth development and a member of the transfer committee. It might well be the case that he'd like to have Baldini's job, and he definitely has a pop at Baldini with his seven purchases comment, but as far as I'm concerned the article misinterprets what he actually said.

If we do get Louis, I would like to try and make a move for xavi. Now before people call me crazy(I admit I am but I like to think I got this far in convincing you all about LVG, I actually convinced myself on that post on the first page).

Xavi may leave this season and has been linked with a move away to New York. He has said he would love to come to england and has been linked with Man Utd for summer earlier in the year.

Also he has alot of admiration for Van Gaal, heres some quotes from xavi about the man.
"In his time at Barcelona, he always said the club would need to move to just home-grown players, a team now that we have reached that goal. It is an amazing and extraordinary achievement which Van Gaal has laid the foundation. I like to take this opportunity to thank him."

“I find it extremely beautiful that we might play against Van Gaal in the finals,” said Xavi in an interview with La Vanguardia. “I appreciate it tremendously and I owe much to him. Sometimes he even preferred me over Pep Guardiola, and I was only eighteen. That’s quite a bit. Van Gaal is a formidable guy.”

On playing against Van Gaal again:
“That will certainly be difficult. Van Gaal is a tactician par excellence. He knows exactly what he does every game.”

"It is extraordinary, especially for those of us that learned to play football at La Masia," Xavi said. "We are the proof of the good work that is being done. (Former coach Louis) Van Gaal said that his dream was to field 11 homegrown players, and that dream has become a reality. I have lived through times when it was just me and Carles Puyol in the first team."

You know, I'm starting to wonder if Man City may be looking for a new manager too this summer - might just be my imagination but they seem to be dropping off a bit now compared to earlier in the season. They are out of the FA cup, probably out of the CL, and, it's looking less likely that they will beat Chelsea to the PL title now too. If so, they sacked Mancini for not much less.

If Man Utd. and Barca also decide to appoint new managers, I really worry that we won't get any of our 'first choice' managers (those that stand a chance of fixing this team) and will be stuck taking a punt again on someone unproven...I can't even envisage Tim even staying now after the last few days.
You say that but they have 3 games in hand and if win all of them then will be tied with Chelsea at top and higher with GD I think, definitely still in it, plus would probs want to give Pelligrini some time

tbh I am not sure LVG is the answer, he may well be the best option for us but the harsh reality is
that whoever gets the gig they will inherit a starting 11 which quite simply not as good
Citeh
Chelsea
Arse
Utd
or Liverpool
so they are going to have to tear up some pretty big trees if he is get us regular CL qualification and as this is Levys holy grail to simply hold on to his job

That is definitely true - I worry though that they may bottle it a bit as they will feel under pressure to win all three games to keep up with Chelsea. Hopefully Chelsea will drop some unexpected points too though.

Yep, hopefully they will give Pellegrini more time also. Hmm, it's probably just the Spurs pessimism making me paranoid about it all really - it's just that feeling that, knowing our luck, if something can put a spanner in our plans to actually fix our club, then it will do! It's the Spurs way...

Even if he goes to united which i really can't see happening personally due to all the signs at united saying how they let moyes down not other way round. I was under the impression LVG was spurs bound and thats not from the papers. Heard it a few weeks from itk try and find out where if it wasn't here.Levy ewon't let LVG go there if he can help it. LVG will get what he wants hut think you will be surprised what he does in regards to playing staff judging by past times.

I like what I hear about youth and LVG. The one thing we have going for us at the moment is our youth set up and some talented youngsters (Eriksen, Bentaleb, Townsends, Lamela etc) so if we are going to have to rip up the copy book and start again this feels like the way we should do it.

It is quite obvious that Levy are planning next season already with the appointment of
Ian Broomfield.

Tim Sherwood knows this, and that is why he was so harsh on Levy in the media after the game on saturday!!

That does make sense and, to be honest, I don't think LVG would be a good fit for United all things considered.
He's just not their type. They want a youngish (fairly amenable) long-term manager that can grow with the club like Fergie did and can build on his legacy. Also, aside from the squad itself needing updating, I'm not really getting the impression that there is much else wrong there (apart from a temporary lack of confidence maybe) and so no major shake up of the club culture is needed (though I could be wrong!). It's really only the thought that they might completely panic if the results continue to be poor and go after LVG as a knee-jerk short-term solution that makes me worry.

We, in contrast, are in dire need of a complete overhaul in our culture, attitude and approach and so need someone just like LVG (very experienced, self-assured, disciplinarian, strong character) at least on a short-term basis. Maybe if he successfully mananges to revolutionize the team over the course of a few years than a younger more long-term solution might then work (FDB, even Tim?).

We need a massive personality to come into this club and exorcise our demons. We're utter softcocks. If LVG is the man who can come in and raise the bar and show there are real consequences for not meeting those standards then so be it. We need a bit of fear around the place.

Everyone is a trier but ultimately it all feels too comfortable. There's no edge.

I'm tired of seeing us rolling over and having our tummies tickled.

He is still pretty close to the game, does the Danish Premiership MOTD.
Btw Not claiming to be ITK in any way obviously, just passing on what he said.

I wasn't digging you out at all. I used to live up that way and a knew a bloke who drank with him. Every time I saw the bloke he'd tell me some tale or other about what was going to happen at LFC or EFC. I don't recall a single thing ever actually happening.

Yeah it seems like in the game of musical chairs that is our club, Tim knows that this time it is going to be him left standing

Get him in, we have way too many legends and players lacking footballing brains in our ranks.

LVG will at least cull the squad and light a fire up the arses of those who are mentally weak.

I think this is probably right, but at the same time Levy and co need to allow that personality to do things his own way.

I get the feeling that AVB wanted to change things from top to bottom, but that with the various different people within the club (Levy, Baldini, Sherwood etc.) he wasn't able to do that. That might have been because of AVB's failings, but I don't think he was helped.

If we want the latest acronym to do well then he HAS to be given the time and the room to tear it up and start again. If there are various other guys with Levy's ear sticking their oar in then the whole thing will just be an exact repeat of what we've seen recently.

LVG has the personality, I don't think there's any doubt about that, and he's got the pedigree. But if we tie his hands behind his back then he'll be relying on his penis alone...and I think we need a manager with more than just a penis.

What was I talking about?
