Lloris

Naughton
Kaboul
Chiriches
Fryers

Dembele
Sandro
Eriksen

Lennon
Adebayor
Lamela(if ready)/Gylfi

With villas boas where Dembele and Sandro one of the best mid pair for a time. I think now with Eriksen they have someone creative that can make that bit extra.
And Rose is awful, hope that Fryers can get a chance.

I wouodnt be too shocked if Tim played the same XI, not saying he should but I can't see there being many changes made.

I'm tired of 3 in midfield to be honest. We just can't make it work right now. It brings the team back to the AVB era and their brains instantly switch to "pass sideways and shoot from 50 yards". When we played 442 we'd get scored on once or twice but we were starting to score 2/3 a game. Liverpool and City both play 2 up top and their the two best sides in the EPL right now. Ade and Kane bot have high workrates and will drop bac so it's not as if we'd be left for dead in midfield.
It's West Brom, they are awful. Same lineup as Monday with Townsend in for Lennon and maybe Dembele in for Chadli.
I rated this "agree", but then read the last sentence... Townsend? Do you like 5 minutes of non-effektive driblings ending with a shot from 75 yards? Me no.
And bench Chadli? He has been our second best player the last weeks...

But the 4-4-2 I agree very much on:)

I read somewhere on the forums that lamela could be back for this game, I doubt it but if thats the case then

-------------Lloris
Naughton Kaboul Chiriches Rose
-------------Sandro
Lamela Paulinho Eriksen Chadli
------------Adebayor

If lamela is not back then I would replace him with Kane (not useless lennon or try to hard townsend) then go 442 and have eriksen and chadli play on wings

Maybe ease him in the first game and then let him start the rest. Wouldn't want him to get injured again..

If Lamela is available, please don't let us play him right-mid in a 4-4-2. It's like asking Chadli to play centre mid- oh, wait...

But he played well and we won 5-1
I knew I should have made my pint clear instead of trying to make a snarky comment out of it!

What I mean is, even though Chadli did well yesterday in an unfamiliar position, the times Lamela has played right-mid he's been disappointing. This is because he was expected to play like Lennon.

Lamela should be more involved in the attacking build-up than a right-mid. 4-4-2 right-mid is really just skin your man and put in a cross. Lamela's much more intelligent than that.

Is there a chance that Lamela might make the match day squad? I thought he was out for a few more weeks yet?

Lloris
Naughton Kaboul Chiriches Fryers
Sandro
Chadli Dembele
Eriksen
Soldado Adebayor

Friedel Dawson Vertonghen Bentaleb Sigurdsson Lennon Kane

If Soldado isn't fit, put Kane in the first XI and Townsend on the bench.
If Vertonghen isn't fit, put Veljkovic on the bench.
If Walker is fit, put him in the first team ahead of Naughton.
If Lamela is fit, put him on the bench ahead of either Lennon or Sigurdsson.
No Danny Rose anywhere please. I can't take any more of his poor attitude.

Would he in any case be rushed back without playing for the U21s?

And if Tim has had his marching orders, what would he gain from playing him?

If, indeed, Lamela is available, I doubt he would be a starter. At best, he would be on the bench.
At least, that's much better than being MIA.

Apparently Lamela isn't back in training yet and is out for the next two games at least. Such a shame but i would be more surprised if he was fit i guess.

Lloris

Naughton Kaboul Vlad Fryers

Sandro
--Chadli--- ---Bentaleb

Paulinho--- -Ade-----Eriksen

Front 3 are fluid along the line, Ade drops in the hole to pick up and develop and muck in in midfield if needed.
