So i want to go away weekend end of August but we are down to play Liverpool at home on Saturday 30th. Anyone know when Sky let us know so i can work around that?

Be handy to know soon before i get told my life revolves around football too many times.

I've tried finding that out myself and so far I just know that they were announced last year on 11th July.

If I am looking at my newly arrived fixture list book right then it seems that because of the Europa league our first seven home games will be on Sundays .......

I'm expecting them to be announced on Wednesday.

No idea why, but back in the days when Sky had all the rights they used to announce the live games 2 weeks after the fixtures were released.

Then when they started sharing rights with ESPN and, now, BT, it takes 3 weeks. I'm guessing the extra week is due to the small amount of negotiations which have to take place over who gets the top pick on which weekend.

So, if I'm right (and this certainly ties in with last year's being anounced on 11th July) you can expect them in the middle of this week.

Apparently they were announced on 13th of July last year.

Edit - Never mind, seen post above.

I'm in Gran Canaria for the Liverpool game, and have already told the missus I'll be out for a few hours watching it! That game is a given to be on TV.

Burnley's official Twitter account has tweeted that they understand these won't be announced until next week.

Annoying that this will (probably) be after the tickets for the QPR game have gone on sale, but as we're playing in the EL beforehand we know we are going to be playing on that Sunday regardless of the tv selections.

Piss poor from Sky and BT to take this long though. I presume that it is only because Sky want their 'announcement' to get lots of coverage on SSN and so are waiting for the World Cup to finish.

Meanwhile there were some West Ham fans last night tweeting that our game will be moved to the Monday. Hopefully this is bullshit, not least because as one of only 3 EPL teams who will be playing in Europe midweek afterwards it would seem sensible to not have any of Spurs, Arsenal or Hull playing on the Monday night.

Sky still have us down as 3pm on Saturday. I think your average west ham fan has difficulty distinguishing one day of the week from the next.

Any new news regarding the televised games?

Going to be on holiday in Turkey from the 14th and there is nothing like watching your team abroad in a ex pat bar.

Sun, cold beer and piss covered peanut at the bar. Can't wait.

Hopefully that's three games where I'll be able to get away from the missis.

Surely we wont be on Monday night football.

We'll have Europa that week.

I doubt it's the Monday (18th) when we have a Europa League play off on that Thursday.
