Brad
Walker Kaboul Fryers Rose
Capoue Carroll
Lamela--Holtby--Townsend
Soldado

Archer
Naughton Dawson Milos Rose
Onomah Holtby
Lennon--Falque--Eriksen
Kane
This would do. We're actually struggling for cm's with Nabil, Mousa, Sandro and Paulinho missing.

I probably shouldn't be looking forward to a preseason game this much, but just can't wait to see the team playing again.

Is Onomah even there?

Also Mason would start instead of Onomah

I hope people don't suddenly expect us to turn into a well oiled machine immediately! It will take time, games like this and hours of practice on the training ground. Hopefully though the boys have taken enough on board from Pochettino and his clan and we can begin to see glimpses of it clicking together. I'm exited. Erikkkkk!

I'd honestly settle for players moving off the ball and showing for the ball consistently. Something we haven't shown in quite some time. Basically, so long as they are working hard and moving the ball around quickly I'll consider it a step in the right direction.

Exactly how I feel. It seemed so un natural last season, slow and sideways last season and what you have just posted is exactly how I expect and want us to play. Fast, clever, inventive football. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but I feel that by moving it quicker we will see a much better Soldado.

Me to. I want to see us making a few mistakes here and there as strange as that sounds...losing the ball etc...as it will mean we're trying things...we need to be much braver with our passing and moving and until we master that mistakes will creep in. Pre season is the time to do it and improve o it.

For far too long we've been far too 'safe' and ponderous in possession.

I want to see a bit more pace to our passing and more urgency with our movement.

More tempo really.

I want a Soldado goal, Townsend getting some shots on target, Lamela taking some players on, Dawson looking like he can fight for his place and some youngsters looking up to pace

Ok it's a friendly, but people looking for improvement would do well to realise that Poch improved Southampton INSTANTLY. As soon as he arrived he got his methods across and they played better & results improved. I'd fully expect us to start fast this season, but tonight will be fascinating for loads of reasons: system, personnel, quality of play etc

Have a feeling Spurs and Sounders will work something out to let this make a wish kid on the Sounders play for a bit and get a goal. Dont think we'll get a full 90' of competitive football.
