As a manger the jury is out, but as a player he was one of the very best.
His performance against Davids in the 99 CL semifinal is one of the greatest midfield displays I've ever seen in my 30 odd years.

Yes I've been around for a bit but just can't recall much. I've had 3 posters tell me he is world class tho so I rest my case. I guess mayb cuz he is a dm it's not as noticable. But then I thought viera was great so who knows
