Really? You're going to question my experience and first hand knowledge of my own people? I even mentioned I've lived in Alabama for Chrissake, which should imply, if you knew your facts and thus consequently able to stand on a platform and accurately make such an insinuation, being familiar with one of the most gun-toting cross-section demographic of Americans there are.

If I assume every one of you eats nothing but fish n chips, and you cited a statistical percentage of Britons who prefer it, do I really have the authority to question you on what my own media is telling me?

Incredibly hypocritical insinuation.

Incidently the US seems to have more UFO sightings and crashes of alleged Craft of unknown origins than anyone else, so whats the deal or you take on it if you dont mind me asking.

I was banned before I posted anything there, for something I posted on here. My stupid fault for having the same user name on both forums. There are snitches about!

Should have used the moniker 'Spursking'

Although that may have got you banned for something else.

Yet another good reason to maintain the 2nd amendment. Jihad, communism, and alien explorers right at our doorstep.

Steady on cowboy, it was a tongue and cheek.
By the way I have family in Texas, Florida and they say the stats given out by the media and government there resemble British oulets=BS

There are obviously a few hundred/thousand(?) fans with creative ideas about photos and videos outside Archway tonight. Heavy handed police intervention expected.

I do not think the insurance company will pay out for the value of the business - I suspect that they would probably have a 'loss of business' or 'business interuption' insurance but that only pays out for the loss of profits between the time that the premises burns down and the time the business is relocated and gets back to its former status.

So they still need to sell the business - but in principle they can sell it to a competitor (with all the IP and current designs of kebab machines etc plus the order book etc (and often the Archway Directors may well be on a year's consultancy to help the new company integrate the Archway business) or indeed to any other company, but a sale to a competitor may be easiest to accomplish. Or they need to re-establish the business in new premises.

I would think there will be pressure from the insurance company to re-set up the business in new premises (so as to minimise the 'business interuption' claim) as from what I understand the current premises would take a bit of time to re-build as its badly fire damaged - but the state of the current Archway building is purely a guess from press reports - which would help the CPO process, but if the building can be readily put back to work in a short time, the CPO process would be unafected I would have thought.

Spot on. Insurance doesn't mean if your business goes up that you win the lottery. And the CPO is uneffected by this as ENIC want the land, not a tramshed.

The fire - irrespective of how it started - isn't actually a big deal in relation to the NPD .

If the ENIC deal was to be accepted now the insurance would be compelled to pay for the building to be re built at the new address. Now there's a thing????????

Cash sum from the insurance firm to the value of the insured amount (probably covering the building, contents and an allowance for loss of business). The relocation of the business, the modifications to existing or building of the new property in a different location isn't the insurance co's concern.

And the only way this really affects the CPO is that there is no longer an operating business on the site, thus making it easier to rule in Spurs' favour.

For anyone who was concerned about access and going this evening:
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/paxton-road-271114/

PAXTON ROAD – NOTICE FOR FANS ATTENDING PARTIZAN MATCH TONIGHT

Following the recent incident at Archway Steel, we would like to re-assure supporters that access to the North Stand will be in operation as normal for our forthcoming home matches. However, as hoardings will be in place to protect the damaged frontage, the roadway itself will be constricted.

To aid fellow supporters and to ensure a smooth flow of fans in and around the Stadium we would ask that any supporter collecting a match ticket, a replacement Members card or a ticket from StubHub, to arrive early.

We would also request that any supporter who has a seat in the North Stand to arrive as early as possible to avoid queuing in Paxton Road. If you are attending the game and do not need access to Paxton Road, please avoid this area.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Inside the ground is it ok for the club to play firestarter by prodigy or Fire by the crazy world of Arthur Brown.

Just been thinking....Archway has burned down, so are they likely to give a sob story to the judge in January that they want to rebuild their business etc etc and will mean even more delays to us ?

Where the new factory is built isn't the insurers' concern. The most sensible thing Archway could do now would be to abandon the appeal and accept the offer, but they haven't shown too many signs of common sense so far. I doubt there will be any pay-out until the investigation's complete anyway.
