Our only hope of signing a striker is if we find someone with a release clause that is well under 10 million pounds, and said player has a fairly low wage and wants a move. I can't think of a single striker that fits that bill. The only other option in the short term could be to hunt for a soon out of contract, older player currently outside of England. Again, there aren't many that fit that bill.

Isn't there some young guy plying his trade in Belgium whom we've been linked with? And some other Croatian guy over in Austria?

With Bony in the African Nations, not sure why we would buy a player who could be absent for 6 + games in Jan/Feb and would probably have to pay a lot more than his value - £25m+?
Not sold on Rodriguez - unlikely to contribute straight away and pressure for immediate contibution will be high

Ba would be a better signing - point to prove, has impressed this season in CL and Europa and would be more within a budget for January signings.

Mitrovic?
I think so. I've never seen him kick a ball but we have to start hoovering up some of this cheap talent from the continent. We can't be having the likes of Swansea, Villa and fucking West Ham outdo us in the scouting department.

EDIT: Kramaric is the other guy.

Need a CF with a fuck-ton of pace, here are my potential options...

Doumbia - Would be a dream option, but very unlikely. End of.

Lacazette - would be fantastic and my top choice, hasn't been in the prem however a few players coming from France have done well. Could be pricy but I think he would be great, could settle with the help of his National Captain.

Dybala - Argentine, could help Lamela out perhaps, playing for a struggling Palmero side so may be seeking a move, and a ton of potential. Rumours that Palmero want €30m for him though...

Ings - Bit of an odd choice but I just think he has a history of playing with Kane at U21's, rapid, could be looking to leave in January, however could have a bloated price tag being English however...

Yeah i looked these two up as well, but kept forgetting to copy and paste their names and then couldn't spell them, so i left it to see if anyone else would consider them. Both have scored twenty something goals already, but one is 29 years old apparently. Not sure how they'd cope against premier clubs and arguably better defences..
We are either going to have to spend more than we want to or we're going to have to bring in someone who's under the radar at the moment. It's quite worrying there are no clear options, but then this has been our same old problem for about 20 years!!

I do like the way ba plays. Desperate to win and change the game, good touch, pacey enough and probably the most attainable pl experienced no 9 out there atm.

Lavezzi?. Pacey with alot of running in him and also some nice experience to our young squad.
Would also fit in nicely with our argentinian connection (y)
Maybe not willing to move from PSG but i think it would be worth a try.

Mitrovic is 20 and the other guy is 23.

4 chances all on target

3 excellent saves from Schmeichel

I think he's still a little rusty (not been back long from that horrific injur)y When hes 100% up to speed I rate him better than the Lukaku/Bony level of strikers
Benteke is our only vaguely realistic quality option. And Villa would be very, very unwilling to sell. Bony would be impossible to prise from Swansea. I'd prefer both of these over Rodriguez who I don't like much and I could see fizzling out at spurs.
Is Leandro Damaio still available?!?

Great player but doesn't have much of an end product.

I think Aguero would fit nicely in our team, perhaps Lewandoski as well as his understudy-you know just to provide a different option.

If we don't throw the cash at these two then it shows Levy is not serious and is mugging us off.

Get them done.

If Levy somehow managed to acquire those players but didn't make a net spend he'd still be in the dog house.

If we were to replace Soldado and Ade with Berahino and Bony/Benteke I would be a happy man.
