How did it all come about?

I'm assuming he was cheering for us? ;)
He spends his downtime in the town I live in, his fitness trainer is here. Often see him around but never got to chatting properly till last night. They walked into the pub we were at & sat at a table next to us & we just started chatting. Broke the ice by asking what he thought the score would be & said 5-0 Spurs!

What did Pleat say?

"Hairy Coin, Question OilRigSoon and Noser Chattersley have had great games"?
"Danny Rose is a wasp of a ferret of a tortoise of an owl of a player...he has something of the great Brazilians about him like a Shearer or a Drogba...he hits balls like bouncy castles."?

Lets just get it out of the way; we put 5 superb goals past Chelsea's "indomitable" defence. We cut through Chelsea's "indomitable" midfield like a knife through butter. And they were such good goals, results of the sort of fast flowing, one touch attacking that we saw from Henry's Arsenal back in their early '00s pomp. Chadli, Eriksen and Kane are unifying into a lethal, almost telepathic attacking trio. Mention for Andros too, his graft in the last two games being more than worthy of his penalty today. He was asked to keep Young and then Aziplectua(sic) busy and he's done that and more. We know his limits as a footballer, but by god he'll give it the bollocks whenever he plays.

However, let's not forget we pulled the usual Spurs trick of thinking the game was won far too soon. That complacency led to the Chelsea goals, and despite walloping the ****s we still shipped 3 goals at home. Two from silly mistakes in my view. Naturally Fazio dithered far too long on the ball, the scoreline reducing his urgency, but he was put under pressure by a unnecessary Dembele back pass. The Afro'ed one frustrates me because he can't simply put a forward pass through when its on, he has to beat another man and come back. That part of his game meant the difference between another attack down the left from us, and them getting back into the game. Schoolboy level stuff and needs to be stopped. Second goal was just the defence going to sleep... although I'll grudgingly admit that Hazard was one of the best players on the pitch.

But put that aside for now, and let MP sort those problems out with them on the training ground. For now we can simply bask in a successful Christmas period, having matched and then destroyed Man Utd and Chelsea respectively. Now for a Cup Semi Final triumph, and then bring on the Gooners for a good fucking hiding in Feb.

COYS!

Can't stop laughing at Maureen claiming it was handball against Vertonghen, as if Vertonghen knew anything about it.

Fucking sore looser, would have so much more respect for the special one and his achievements if he could just admit that him and his expensively assembled team were out played and out managed by Poch and the lads today.

And that dirty fuck Cahill needs to have the book chucked at him for the kick into Kane's back that perfectly illustrated what a classless club Chelsea are.
think people are finally getting wise to maureens routine. when they lose he blames the ref, lineman, media sepp blatters dog etc. the spanish press saw through him, hope ours will too soon

We signed him at 16/17 so he still came though our accademy, what happened to Leeds accademy it was producing tonnes of players at one point.

Sold their training ground and stopped investing. Still, at 17, it's tough to claim he came from our academy especially as we actually paid hard cash for him, did he even spend that long in our academy considering the loans he had?

Think we got him at 16/17 as an attacking midfielder before he signed a pro contract at Leeds and before a pro debut. Not like walker who had played a fair bit for Sheffield utd when we signed him at 18. But I take your point.

Yes but we actually bought Rose for about £1m. He probably only had about a year in the reserves before going on loans. Different kettle of fish to bringing through a lad from schoolboy terms. Massive injustice on Leeds to claim he's one of ours, he had previously been the subject of a poaching by Chelsea before we got him, Leeds had already put in a lot of work to him.

You did not. Watched the game with him, his missus & my bro. Was quite the bizarre experience watching such a game with an almost current legend! Had some good banter, he's a seriously nice bloke

How fit was his bird?

He going to QPR?

Like, did you ask him any questions soze, or did you just pretend you didn't know who he was and chit-chatted through the game? :D

His birds ok, nothing too special but very nice & down to earth, surprisingly. Canadian. I didn't ask him anything about his professional life, no, and he didn't offer anything up other than he's on holidays working on core fitness

Hairy muff. That's very restrained of you tbf, I'd have been all up in his biz. Would have comeback on here with the latest nickname he has for his cock....though 'hulk' is pretty hard to improve upon.

They highlighted on MOTD how clever tactics took Matic out of the game. Brilliant stuff - allied with tremendous industry and determination we were truly excellent. If we can keep performing anywhere near this level we are going places.

Yesterday's match needs putting into context. Earlier in the season, critics were insisting that Spurs were only capable of turning on the style against nondescript opposition on a Thursday night. Nothing's changed.;)

He actually said about Hazard (I think it was) that "He's a great ball manipulator".

...and speaking of Thibaut Courtois, (which we weren't) I can't help but always think of this commercial when I see him:

Yes he did he was part of a really good crop, mason, Townsend, rose, caulker, and same team but a year younger Carroll and Kane also dean parret, bostock and kassim so yes I would count him. Leeds did sign him from Doncaster.
