To be honest hes right on what we have seen so far, he has made mistakes. He doesnt say hes shit or poor just that at tiems hes been weak...... he has been. Id luv to see Dier improve and he will only do that getting game time.

The headline's pretty misleading. Keown simply acknowledges that Spurs are getting results despite Fazio's various weaknesses, and that this would make him difficult to drop. I think we'd all agree that we'd like to see Dier develop as a centre back and that he should be given the chance in due course, but there's no need to rush things.

In all fairness, Fazio is in his first season and there's no doubt that he'll have found the change of pace tough to adapt to but he's doing it and whilst he's far from perfect, he's developing a good relationship with JV.

I think Dier has the potential to be awesome. His inconsistent play at RB means nothing when it comes to playing at CB. He tackles well, is good on the ball and is quick enough to recover when playing a high line. Would be more than happy to see him get some more playing time at CB this season and next.

I didn't even have to o down to the bit where he talks about Fazio to know he is talking shit. The idea that you can't be a top player and smoke was far enough. Zidane smoked for goodness sake.

At the moment Fazio is making mistakes but he is also doing well for someone new to the PL. He wins absolutely everything in the air and at the moment Verts and Fazio have only lost a single game when partned. I think one could argue that it is Verts who is currently more at risk of losing his place.

Also he thinks Verts should be captain? That would be strange.

Faz certainly makes his mistakes, he adds certain attributes to the squad that Dier can't bring to the table just yet. I think Eric's a great player and I think he'll have a bright future at Spurs, but for now, I love the Verts-Fazio partnership.

I actually think by the end of the season Fazio will be looked upon as one of our strongest links. Is getting better and better each game.

Dier looked awesome when he played at CB though, the final friendly at the lane I thought he was easily MOM. Seemed something has happened though with him. I did read something along the lines of Dier refused to play RB for the u21 ( England) and Pochettino didn't like that mentality.

For the foreseeable future Faz and Jan for me..., no question!

Fazio is a good defender he does lack pace though he is the hard man of our defence and is starting to settle, he has had his dodgy moments and mistakes. But most defenders struggle in the league to begin with.

His good sides more than weigh up for his brainfarts so far. He must've cleared more crosses and set pieces than the rest of our defenders combined.

Has Fazio lost a header yet ... He's going to be just fine. Not worth reading gooner opinions anyway

I want him there any time we're playing Chelscum just to intimidate that bastard whom he thumped.
