I distinctly remember you being Serious. It was in Bath at Komedia and you put on a one man play of the making of Young Einstein. I think you called it "The Genius of Genius" and among your many characters were writer, director and actor Yahoo Serious.

So you owe Spurger an apology.

For the record, Lilbaz was very good and the Metro called his performance "cancelled"

But I was very, very drunk.

Just seen this. Might be nice if we could build the stadium big enough for 60k + but only put in 56k seats.

Cheers Philip. I've taken photos in the past as well and as in yours there's been progress but I've never seen an actual worker on site. Let's hope we actually properly go for it and start building in earnest after the Cpo is sorted out.

You have to be joking don't you? More like big enough for 56k and put in 60k seats!

There were workers on site when I was there, digging out the area inside the piling. They are about 1 metre down now

Just inside or all around them? If the piles are spaced, then they will be reducing the ground from piling platform level so they can break them down to underside of the capping beam or foundation. If they are tight against each other (contiguous), then it could possibly be a lift shaft.

Whatever they are for, it sounds as though you'll be seeing Steel fixers and Chippies in there soon for the capping works, as the piles are now being excavated.

We must think this court hearing will be a formality. Surely we would have come to some sort of deal with Archway otherwise. Wouldn't we?

Ha Ha - you'd think but the painful lesson we've all experienced over the years is that NOTHING is a formality where THFC is concerned.

I'll remain quietly confident until the fat lady sings...when does court recommence? Next week or the week after...I hate replays, especially with our fixture pile up

Again, remember that this is not just about the new stadium, but the entire regeneration project, which is being backed by central government and BoJo, not just Spurs and Haringey. If the decision goes in Archway's favour, the whole bang shoot will be put into jeopardy, at the very least delayed for years. Can you see a tinpot outfit like Archway being allowed to fuck up the whole future of Tottenham?

I guess this is the Standard and therefore a little dodgy, but it's says that if we play using the lower tier of Wembley that these are not classified 'major' games at wembley and therefore do not fall within the planning constraints. Fingers crossed from me! Would be nice to be able to use the full stadium for a couple of games though.

This was brought up last year and seems to be true. Although as the article says it will be difficult holding that many games/events at Wembley. How many times will the pitch have to be relaid?
