Love that article. One thing in there, he, Mason and Kane still go and watch the academy teams. Suggests to me that they do love it here and maybe their heads wont be turned that easily. Can't wait, hopefuly in a few years half our squad will have come through the academy and will be our soul.

Good article - glad he also gives credit to John McDermott and Alex Inglethorpe as well as Tim Sherwood, and now of course Poch.

Point well made in the article that 13 months ago that he hadn't played a senior game....and is now a regulat for Spurs and Algeria...and that Bentaleb's career at Spurs has taken off at the same time as both his midfield partner Ryan Mason and Harry Kane.

He's getting better and better for me. Having more influence on the game, covering more ground, and covering it in a better way. Exciting thing is I think he has even more to come!

I have never been more sure a young player was special since I saw a 14 year old Sturridge playing in Jamaica. Bentaleb is remarkable, his skills are constantly expanding and his influence on games growing. He can go all the way at his rate.

Daniel, met him and Sterling at a charity fundraiser summer. Really cool guys, Sterling says Saurez is a selfish, sad man, Sturridge is a genuinely nice guy.Told me likes Spurs and the way we operate as a club, also that he plans to lead England to a World cup win. I wished him luck with his England career and bad form for Pool.

Nabil is one of my absolute favourites at the moment.

He has the composure, talent and brains to be a top midfielder. The sky's the limit for him.

Is it just me or has Nabil been much better since he went to the World Cup (and now since AFCON), rather than first team apps?

In Sherwood side, he was decent but seemed to lack positional awareness and standabout ability; he did a job, but didn't really look like a future star or standout player. Since the World Cup, he's been so much better.

I'm not sure whether we should be crediting ourselves, or applauding the Algerian FA. Everytime he goes off to internationals, he comes back 10-20% better.
