With the court case about a week away it's quite conceivable that by this time next week we will know more about the stadium itself than we've been told in the last two years. Pretty exciting.

I believe it was said that it won't necessarily be an instant decision. The judge will probably trot off with his evidence and will probably announce it in about 2 years!

I kinda meant that we will hopefully actually find out some more details about what the stadium will be like.

But yeah it wouldn't be a surprise if it took a while to come to a decision.

And that counted for last seasons tv-money! With The new deal maybe just 4 years..!!

It's not as simple as that but we could in theory self-fund the stadium. I don't know what assets we have, cash or otherwise, but it's probably not enough to build a stadium. Right now our turnover is €200m+ (£148m) and with the new deal that could soar to €300 (£222m) and possibly more if results on the pitch improve. Even if we had no assets to draw on, we could probably pay for everything in cash but chances are we'll get a loan and spread the cost over a longer period. I'm hoping that we'd pay part cash, part loan so that our debt and interest payments are small. We probably can't afford to pay everything with cash, doing so would impact our spending on players.

I kinda meant that we will hopefully actually find out some more details about what the stadium will be like.

More? We've already seen complete plans and artists impressions, what else do you want to see?

I guess that spursfan77 was referring to the fact that KSS are no longer on the job and that Populous have drawn up new plans that we haven't seen at all.

It may be that, in order to avoid a lengthy planning delay, Populous' plans have kept certain elements of KSS's design (though I suspect that any similarities will be more in terms of footprint, height and initial capacity than in terms of actual design) but there will undoubtedly have been significant changes.

Silly question. But where is the car park Gonna be? I know who cares. Will they build down??
The stadium only goes in to the current WHL by just under a third (roughly the first roof support in the shelf). I would imagine it'll be stuck on the Park Lane end somewhere.

The car parking will be minimal and underground. There won't be car parking for general use by spectators attending matches. The whole strategy is to persuade/encourage/compel people to use public transport by makling it difficult to park. That's planning policy nowadays.

Has there been any info/itk on what was changed from the original plans?

I notice you can no longer find the new stadium page on the website. It is still there but only able to be found via Google.

The original design (inside at least) was immense and would be the best stadium in the UK imo.

Probably wont get any details till after the courtcase. If there are any changes.

The last CPO appeaI I can find that went to the High Court took about 2 months between the court-sitting and a judge's decision. That decision itself was then taken to the Court of Appeal.

Hopefully some progress next week (and certainly some more info in the public domain) but don't go holding your breath. I'd say the photo updates do suggest a certain degree of confidence from team THFC mind you.

It's definitely going ahead, the appeal well just determine if the CPO stands and we pay the amount the land is really worth (£1.5m max?) our we have to give in to their extortionate demands of £20m.

If I remember rightly @davidmatzdorf said that the clock is ticking and if we win this appeal they have to move out and that any subsequent appeal will not delay the club any further.

Found this new photo on COYS

That doesn't show anything we haven't seen but what's interesting is that it's one of the few photographs to have an almost unobstructed view of the stadium. Until now you wouldn't have been able to see much of the stadium at all

If the original plans for parking is anything to go by, there was about off top of my head about 60 disabled bays, that was something someone found on here for me. Hope it does will give me a chance of visiting the new stadium, and hopefully not have to get there 3 hours early like we used to have to when we parked where the new stadium is going
