Because most of the signings that built the core of 'Arry's team were signed before he even got here. Modric, Bale, King, Lennon, BAE, Sandro all predated Redknapp, and VDV was a quintessential Levy special.

Sandro didn't predate Harry. Scott Parker was very, very important to how we played in 2011-12. Defoe, Crouch and Kranjcar all had key roles when we finished 4th in 2010.

Pretty sure we agreed a deal for Sandro before Harry arrived. He certainly didn't have any say in that transfer. Agree with the rest of your post though.

Anyway, I'm a bit tired so...

I think Levy has done a good job, and I don't mind him continuing, but rather under a different majority owner.

The two faults I could attribute him are 1) he results of the transfer window in January 2012, and 2) every single managerial decision from and inclusive of firing Redknapp, through firing AVB, to hiring Pochettino.
At the end of the day, I wouldn't be surprised if the guidance of one Mr. Lewis was too heavy – and too wrong – in several aspects of these issues.

Nope, definitely in Harry's reign. Although Sandro was rumoured to be Broomfield's find, and Harry had never seen him play in the flesh. But then Harry appointed Broomfield, so it's splitting hairs.

Now you've done it.
It's going to be, trigger happy, doesn't invest, picks shit managers, dof, interferes with buying players, no trophies in blah blah blah.

Some of it might be deserved, but it's not like we haven't heard it before.

The other side is just as bad, if it wasn't for oil money, 6th richest so 6th place justified, built stadium, built training ground, players wanted to leave, sacking managers deserved blah blah blah

I don't even know what i'm doing here.

Enjoy.

You've summed up 10 years of SC in one paragraph.

Unfortunately , this isn't the amnesty thread...so I'm gonna have to just risk it .

In my unamnestied opinion , I was with Levy through every managerial appointment since Jol . There was a logic to every one to my mind .

However the player transfers or non transfers have been horrendous at times . Someone mentioned Jan 2012 , was that the transfer window Levy nadir ?...or was it starting the CL season with a depleted forward line , I forget which was worse .

...or maybe in Hoddle days , the bragging about the note Ronaldo sent saying no thanks...

AVB wanted a team of galacticos and every good signing that we made under Redknapp was obviously down to Levy/Commolli.

Looking at Redknapp's modus operandi in terms of player recruitment, Saha and Nelsen are typical 'Arry the wheeler dealer choices.

Your talking complete bollocks rednapp signed Parker, gallas, Kaboul, crouch, Defoe , palacios, all solid signings and Saha and Nielsen were not his choices (according to him)

The only managerial appointment that Levy has made which I disagreed with was Pochettino.

The biggest issue I've had with Levy is the lack of extra investment that could have pushed up a level, especially directly after we qualified for the CL.

Yes!

Just when I was a bit bored with football in general and particularly the same old Spurs shite, I popped into Spurs Chat scraping around for some original thought and BOOM only went and lucked my way into a Levy Out thread!

What a lucky boy I am, my entertainment is sorted for the next couple of days of reading definitely not repetitive mud-slinging between two diametrically opposed and irreconcilable groups!

Oh how I yearn for the days of Sugar. Scholar even.

Never Scholar. The man who ensured that when the Premier League took off and the big guns established their position we were too poor to go to the party. I am not sure we will ever recover the position we once had.

Well done.
Its been coming for a while but you finally made my ignore list.
You make out like we were lucky to get top 4 twice with Harry in charge and he held us back.

Sounds a bit like a Levy Out sort of thread. Are there none others where could be merged @Archibald&Crooks or would you like another Levy Out thread for your own sexual satisfactions?

If there's a 7inch battery operated cactus involved, then A&C will be well up for it! :)

I have said it a few times before but I will say it again.
The people making football decisions at Spurs couldn't pick the winner in a two horse race.
