Sounds fair enough to me.

Interesting that they wouldn't oppose both Chelsea and Tottenham playing at Wembley for a season.

How is it "completely unfair"? Scudamore has always been in the pocket of the SKY 4, and especially United. He was practically demanding that they finish in the top 4 last season.

Saying that, us playing at Wembley for a year and sharing with Chelsea is such an obvious move for everyone. If Chelsea even get their stadium building underway at that point.

Right:

Except we were never asking to use both Wembley and MK. We were asking to use Wembley for home games, and to potentially share with Chelsea. That's it.

Stadium MK is the fallback option should Wembley not be possible.

I think he's saying that it would be unfair for team A to play against us in MK Dons ground if team B played us at Wembley as it might be easier to play us at one of those grounds - i.e if we had 50,000 fans behind us at Wembley, but only 10,000 at MK Dons.

It's completely completely unfair. Think of the advantage we'd gain from hosting Man united at MK.

Scudamore? The oily prick who was walking across the Highbury* pitch with David Dein when he got Levy's call over Lasagne-gate? Smugfaced mingefeatured prick. I don't like him. At all.

Not that you'd ever have guessed :p

Ever so slightly dramatic headline! I don't see much of an issue, even if we don't get Wembley. It's one season in what by that time will be 135 years of our existence. It will be no more than a footnote in our history.

Of course, the media want this to become a Tottenham v Chelsea battle, but it isn't.

Obviously much prefer not to have to play at MK but thats down to the club that reside there.
I can see us having league games at Wembley and some cup games ( League/ early Europa and all FA Cup games...can't have a team playing their 'home' FA Cup games at Wembley! )

Funny how he claimed it's about the integrity of the league and then went on to bemoan the scrapping of the 39th game idea...

“For the integrity of the League they’d have to play in the same stadium for the entire season.”

But it would be ok to play a 20th home game in LA??
Such an ego that he doesn't even see his own contradiction in that statement!!

He went on to say: “They know the rules and what we require. They have to provide a stadium. We can’t have a fettered fixture list. Clubs have to be able to deliver 19 home games in the slots that are required. So if they share with a rugby league club, we can’t be fettered as to when those clubs can play."
Surely this would also apply to potential clashes with nfl games. If this scumfan is going to be completely uncompromising then he could pull the plug on the nfl ground share as well.

I'm sure the NFL games would only be booked for days we aren't playing there. It won't be an issue.

Don't see the problem. Play our league games at Wembley and our cup games somewhere else if we want. Scudamore couldn't say shit about that.

Cups are nothing to do with the Premier league they are under the FA. If they are all played at the same ground I can't see Dyke having an argument.

I can't be arsed to read the article, from what i can work out reading other articles, the whole thing is summed up pretty well in the OP.

Curious though, nsr really, but what happens if a team's stadium becomes unsuitable due to, for example, weather damage or seismic activity, and declared unfit for use while repairs are carried out? A completely unpredictable event that simply can't be worked around would surely mean they would be allowed to play in another venue?

And yeah, Scudamore is a grade-a prick, but i assumed that's sort of common knowledge.

I bet he laughs like Boycie from Fools & Horses too.
