France has long been the biggest exporter of footballers (in real terms it's Brazil but thats only because they send theirs all over the nether regions of South America) it's nothing new, just a slight change of destination of exodus maybe.

True. Just seems like there's something very rotten when a player like Payet is signing for....West Ham.

Is it just me or has the BBC sports page increasingly become a Utd propaganda page.

Today they are leading with a 'man u are right club for stones' headline. In between willing a Utd purchase of Lloris or Bale.

Been that way for a while. BBC sport is painfully pro Utd almost as much as sky is for Liverpool.

Apparently West Brom are after Dennis Praet from Anderlecht, that would be a fantastic signing for them. Personally, I would love to see him at Spurs, the kid is a serious talent who just won Belgiums Golden Shoe award. Amazed no one bigger is after him, then I guess nobody is really looking for a number 10. Still, for reportedly only 10 mil that's a bargain. Wish we where interested.

I'm surprised no-one else is trying to hijack the Alex Song deal, someone with that quality and experience could surely do better than West Ham. I wouldn't be too disappointed if we went in for him given our lack of experience in the middle.

Why surprised ? He runs around like a headless chicken, lost interest half way through the season, and is injury prone.

His motivation and work ethic doesn't really match the huge wages he's looking for.

Surely they're weaker in attacking options with RVP and Di Maria both gone and Januzaj potentially going Sunderland.

They must have someone lined up, think if it's Pedro he will flop.

Where is the link for Januzaj to Sunderland? I recall JJ saying we were very interested in him.

I'm not all that impressed with United apart from their midfield. A lot of their defense and attack is still kind of a relative unknown. Mata and Rooney are quality when playing to their ability but I refuse to believe Ashley Young is suddenly a consistently good player and while Depay is a fantastic young talent I think time to settle is expected.

I also don't believe Smalling is a good player and Shaw/Darmian still have plenty to prove in my mind. And, they're starting Blind at CB. It's kind of a weird situation that I could see playing out like Liverpool last year when players they relied so heavily on the previous year can't maintain that needed form.

I hope I'm right but obviously could be massively wrong.
