I know nothing about N'jie other than the obligatory YouTube viewing. Looks fast, attacking, unselfish, and a bit one-footed. Also seems to have some weird shooting technique where he hits the ball very early...which is nice.

Yeah Alderweireld impressed me on Saturday. A defensive collection of Rose, Verts, Alderweireld, Walker / Davies, Wimmer, Dier, Trippier (and Fazio left over for changing light bulbs) looks very good to me.

I'm perhaps foolishly confident that right now we're just chipping away at deals, and if we can't get things sorted by deadline day we'll be willing to pay a bit extra to avoid relying on work experience kids to back up Kane.
I did a bit of stat analysis in the summer and my list of young talent in the top 5 leagues based on what they did last year, in order, was this:
Clinton N'Jie
Felipe Anderson
Nabil Fekir
Raheem Sterling
Hakan Calhanoglu
Harry Kane
Paul Pogba
In itself that "proves" nothing but fuck it, let's get positive.

This place can be incredibly draining to read at times. If it weren't for itks providing updates on information, we would be reading from the media that we are close on a few of our targets, and many here wouldn't be anxiously awaiting the if and when on every single transfer.

It's the inside information that makes it seem as though things are dragging out. We'd typically hear about steps A and B arriving to C, but with the information on here we hear about steps A, B, C, D, E and F leading to G. We often times here about every little blip in a deal, making things seem slower and more difficult than they may typically be.

Also, we need to stop overanalyzing every bit of information. Let things play out and save the moaning for the end of the window if and when the club fails to strengthen. I'm sure several itks are heedful of sharing information on here now, as this place has seemingly turned to over-thinking the majority of bits of information that gets posted on here. The rest is often times moaned over with the poster being berated with questions.

Just let it play out folks, and see where we lay at the end.

So what's the point of assuming we have fucked up until we get there?

It's a terrible way to live your life, getting angry about things that do not happen. I'm all for people getting angry after the event and people may even have valid reasons - but they don't while things are still capable of being worked on.

If only you'd have watched Groundhog Day.

Synopsis:

Daniel Levy a football club Chairman, is out to cover the annual emergence of the transfer window from its off season. He gets caught in a headlight that he didn't predict and finds himself trapped in a time warp. He is doomed to relive the same day over and over again until he gets it right.

Tell me i am wrong.

Been away all weekend, the RO has little for me. Anything happen in here that makes it worth reading 20+ pages of mostly generic doom and gloom ramblings?

No offence, but if you had Sterling (who had a very poor season) above Kane and Pogba (who both had monster seasons) then I'm not going to take much stock in the rest of your list.
