So, we're spoilt now for wanting more than one proper CF in the squad? I've heard everything now

If some actually took time to read the contents of people's posts they would see that a great deal of fans weren't just set on getting Berahinho, but realise the folly of having Kane as our only striker whilst competing in four competitions.

Poch doesn't play with wingers, which is one of the reasons Lennon didn't get a look in and why we signed players like Son and N'jie. To ask then to come in to a totally different league and shoulder the burden of having to cover for Kane in a position that isn't natural for them is placing huge pressure on them. Not to mention the pressure it puts on Kane himself.

I've yet to have an answer to the question of why we were unable to find a single genuine CF in the whole of world football who we couldn't have got on a season long loan (or even until Jan)? We have Levy, Poch, Mitchell, Baldini and others and between them this seems to have eluded them.

It's nothing to do with wanting shiny new marquee signings or competing for the top four. I just want my club to make sound football decisions, but that clearly seems too much to ask.

Perhaps Poch and Levy are telling the truth when they say that they wanted Berahino and if they couldn't get him were happy to stick.

That is just bull shit. Do you rate anyone in the positions behind Kane, because Chadli had the best return of anyone there last year despite his father passing away.

We fucked up by not signing a striker to back up Kane and I'm sure we will suffer as a result. I would be very surprised if we don't sign someone in January and hope others can do a job till then.

If Berahino is the only forward in the world Poch is prepared to work with that worries me more.

I get not buying a CM because we have promising lads coming through and we don't won't to block their progress; I'm all for that. And hope to see much more of Carroll, Veljkovic and Winks, rather than Mason and Bentelab being played to exhaustion like last season. But we don't have any strikers coming through, so we needed to bring someone in.

Yes we got Son and N'jie, but is it reasonable to expect two youngsters new to England and English football to compete to displace our current eminently displaceable wing options in the League, while simultaneously learning how to play CF so they can play that position in Europa and the Cups and provide cover for Kane in the League should he, God help us, get injured?

I think it's better we wait for the players we want, rather than stock piling and lose money trying to rid of them.

I think we are pretty well covered bar one more striker. Another option is to play Chadli or even Dembele up front until the next window.

I just cannot see why anyone could contemplate Dembele as a striker. We are already far too slow and to have him as the attacking focal point would just make it even worse, not to mention his goal scoring record. It just emphasises our lack of options .

Some people have also suggested Lamela as a Centre Forward, have they not seen how lightweight he is !

his strength, hold up play and shot means hes a viable paddle. when we are up shit creek. which is where we are given hk cant play 60 games. rather him than a 460, especially at home against defensive teams. of the others only chadli has the physicality. other posters have already explained well why son and njie dont fit.
