You saying Sky made them winners? You realise Arsenal, Utd and Liverpool were big clubs before Sky don't you? And you know that without Sky, Ibramovic still would've purchased Chelsea don't you?

Sky 4 was just a name as those 4 clubs usually got the champions league places.
Before the champions league they might have been big clubs but the disparity was nowhere near as big. Yes liverpool dominated for years but smaller teams like derby or forest had a chance of winning the league. Squads were a lot smaller so all teams had a good chance in the cups as well. We had a good chance of doing the treble in 87.

The winning of cups is essentially luck. I'm sure there are statistics for how often the 5th best team in the land should win the FA Cup and I'm sure we should have won it more than once in the last 25 years. Wigan have won a cup. Swansea have won a cup. Cardiff and Millwall got to finals. The better the team the more likely you'll get to later rounds, but there is such a luck element involved in the one-off matches and the draws that you really can't legislate for it. It's the same reason why you can't pick to target the League Cup or FA Cup. If you get a dud draw, you'll most likely be going home. Whilst another team can fluke some home draws and go very far. I'm not concerned about our lack of cups because we'll eventually win our share, there's not an intrinsic reason why Tottenham Hotspur haven't won the FA Cup for 24 years or the League Cup for 7.
