Not really sure about this. Yes we have a good side, a great Manager and terrific supporters who have waited a long time for this combination to show real promise. It's still a work in progress but my gut feel is that we are definitely we are moving forward and upward. Are we a must join team, not yet. We need to keep our feet on the ground, continue to progress but above all maintain the current successful transfer hunt for potential and hungry players. Superstar signings at mega fees will upset the balance and we have been burnt before going down this route.

It's not really an attempt at a statement of fact. It's a promotional statement, designed to create a stir and attract one or two of those players. So debating its accuracy seems a bit beside the point. It's advertising aimed at January.

I only want a striker who plays like Kane and can stand in for him. Someone who looks like Kane, scores like Kane and works as hard as Kane. Someone who's name reminds me of a powerful weather event. But I'm not too fussy...

Not sure we need anyone else tho.

This. Superb bit of propoganda really. You can see a lot of young talent reading this and giving us some serious consideration.

Clever bloke that Pochettino fella.

The fact that they seek to make an anouncement like that shows real intent for january and beyond imo.

With that in mind, can anyone see any realistic improvements we could make to the first team?

Sounds like someone asked if Poch thought Spurs could attract good players. So he said yes.

We are just about there. The training ground is world class. England were there last week which tells you the standard. Players spend 95% of their time there. We are in London, which is a huge boost. In a couple of years will will have the second biggest club ground in England, and one of the best in Europe. Together with a young talented sqaud and a manager that has faith in youth.

Thats quite an attractive prospect for a up and comming youngster. Or maybe even a seasoned pro like Lloris

EDIT: and there are rumours we may be playing a season at Wembley!
