The cool thing is, our new stadium is a similar size (height and build) to the Westfalenstadion. I can't wait till this thing is built.

Really looking forward to this. Both teams performing well in their respective leagues, both teams played one of the perennials in their last game. Fixture deserving of CL status. Cannot see anything but a 1st team from EL Poch. Just know that every player will be up for this game.

Son to be the difference, as he has been critisied lately.

I'd go

Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Wimmer Davies
Bentaleb Mason
Lamela Onomah Eriksen
Kane

Vorm, Carter-Vickers, Walker, Dembele, Carroll, Chadli, Son

Im honestly clueless as to the CM pairing. Conventional wisdom would have a Dembele/Mason pairing. But starting Dembele 2 times in the 1 week since returning to training from injury doesnt seem the brightest of ideas. Especially given his injury history. Bentaleb is so far out of form and might be even further out of favor at this point. So Mason Carroll? That's very weak. Same with Mason Winks. A small part of me wonders if Poch might throw CCV to the wolves here and play him at DM or at LCB and have Wimmer as DM.

I wouldn't want this team vs league 2 opponents, let alone Dortmund.

I'd actually like the chance to win this cup..

If Dier is out then for me Dembele has to play or we are going to be in trouble before we even get them to WHL.

Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Wimmer Davies
Demeble Mason
Lamela Eriksen Chadli
Kane

Subs
Vorm, Walker, Bentaleb, Carroll, Son, Onomah

Realistically its going to be a massive challenge to get a positive result tonight considering their incredible home form. A score draw would be a superb result, but I'd settle for a 2-1 defeat. Just don't want to get hammered, so we have something to hang onto next week.

Hate 6pm kick off's! I always seem to be stuck in the office until 7.30 when this happens :(

A strong team is needed, get an away goal and come back no more than a goal down will be a result.

If we can snatch a score draw this evening it sets us up for a very exciting European night at the Lane in the second leg

I'm confident of a good game and a positive result

Yep, I think the ref suits neither team. The team it does suit however is whoever cops us in the next round.
The ref suites them more as he is turkish and turks have an influential part in germany with around over 4 million turks living and working there.

Yea but we have our fair share of turkish kebab shops on the high road so he's loyalties will be evenly split

If Dembs plays I hope he gets thru the game ok as we need him Sunday and the next. The 2 league games coming up are must must wins and these might further improve our position at the top given the teams around us have tough games or do not play due to FA cup fixtures.

Actually think it's different this time where we can use squad players for Villa. Strong as possible tonight please. Confident in whoever we put out on Sunday to get a result there.

I would hope that who ever comes in for him on Sunday would be good enough to play against Villa.

Would have swapped Dier and Dembele for these 2 games, but not sure the reason why Dier is out. Is it a kick, or just rested?

I think with results having gone the way they have we need to not be out of the cup either...
So for that reason, I would play Dembele against Dortmund and trust that Mason, or whom ever will be good enough for Villa.
Were we sitting pretty at the top of the table like Leicester are now, i would have considered the reverse.

Well obviously the articles say rested... but whilst I don't imagine Poch storming around the place telling Dier in no uncertain terms how shit he's been, i could imagine Poch being a little bit more like my mum. I.e. not saying anything other than "I think you need a break" in such a tone that you cannot help but feel rather disappointed in yourself.:(

absolutely buzzing for this. just dwarfs the scouse v mancs game. should be a fantastic spectacle, assuming of course we get an agreeable result (y)

hope we do the kick off and the coin toss properly too otherwise we could be down to 8 by the first minute!
