To dare is to don't bother trying.

To be fair I'd also probably throw in the towel. Maybe if it was 1-3 or 0-2 I'd be more tempted to go for it.

No matter what team he picks SC is going to be in meltdown because there will always be one or two players that someone would have rested. Personally I think we're going to see a mega meltdown because I think he might name a strong team. Well, I might not actually think it, but I half hope it, just to see the reaction on here.

If he does then he has lost the plot completely. Not having a strong team in the first leg to only then get thumped 3-0 when we have a winnable game VS Villa afterwards and could have played our best 11 against Dortmund to then follow it up with a strong team for no purpose whatsoever when we have a tough game against Bournemouth would be ludicrous.

It really would be inexcusable, the only way he could justify it is if we somehow manage to turn over Dortmund and progress and then beat Bournemouth which let's face it, isn't going to happen.

I don't think we can send out a second string or ateam full of kids for this one.. it could destroy there confidence.. we need to protect the defense & you need pace in midfield if you are to get at Dortmund & not overplay.. go at there weakness & that's defending crosses & dealing with long balls... I'd go

If you re-jigged it to that we'd probably give them a solid game in that shape.

I can't see us playing many key players though.

Full strength.

Mate, there is no logic in playing a second string in the first game and then a full strength in the second game when we're 0-3 down and are second in the league with 8 'finals' left to play with players who are already tired.

Very wishful thinking, buddy.

considering the line up in the first leg, the novelty that anyone associated with Spurs is going to "go for it" tomorrow is both unlikely and illogical.... so here you go:

vorm
trippier toby wimmer rose
bentaleb mason
onomah carroll chadli
son

CCV and oduwa on the bench for debut possibilities?... c'mon SC faithful, Poch has made it clear what time it is (y);):coffee:

I see what you mean & logically makes more sense.. my thinking would be to have son in the whole getting knock downs from Chadli & Alli.. plus their movement in the box is better than Son's & better in the air, if we were to bombard them with crosses they would be a better fit to cause Dortmund problems...

Out of possession I'd have Son there to harass Weigl..if you can stop them playing from the base of midfield it forces there CB to come out with the ball,..Walker has to man mark Aubemeyang in these situations his first time lay-offs is the key to them getting midfield runners beyond our cb, as long as Alli & Chadli drop back into midfield you can overcrowd them in central areas & break in one on one situations.. it's the most effective way to combat a team like Dortmund, I'd use a Tuchel tactic from his Mainz days against teams like Bayern to stop them. If we could get a goal back then think of bringing Kane on.

The game is out of reach but we can still try & get some pride back..it's a free ride to try something new tactically & possibly learn something from the game.

Play full strength from the off, play to win and hope that by half time we're at least 2-0 up! Then as the game continues we can reduce the 1st teamers and give them some rest for the weekend! In it to win it and all! COYS
