Even if Leicester win at the weekend, we still need 5 points from our last 3 games to cement 2nd place. If we win out next 2, the I would like to see Onomah (or Winks) play in the CM2 with Dier for the last game.
In preseason I'd like to see Ball get a chance. He's been playing regular football at Rangers this season and deserves a chance in preseason.

Recently he's been playing the 'Dier' role for Rangers with great success.

I was justing reading that Dom Ball is out of contract this summer. It will be interesting to see what happens with him now - Warburton rates him highly.

That's a shame if true.

Would like to see how he would cope playing at a higher level.

On a different note, where's does this leave Bentaleb?

If he wants to stay at the club, he would need the preseason of his life.

They don't seem to rate him (fans) up there. Against Celtic he looked average.

U-18 go to Arsenal in last game of the season. The gooners are not letting us in to watch so will not be able to report.

@biggie2804 The gooners are the only club that is not open to fans like other clubs. They restrict entry by issuing tickets to clubs.

Ye @edson apparently you can only go if you're family. Was going to go too, but heard about it beforehand. If I knew you went to away matches as well I would have warned you

Apparently, the gooners like to keep home games as quiet as possible to prepare the U18s for the step up to 1st team football at the Emirates.

Ended 3 all in the end, Oteh and 2 own goals for us and a hattrick for Nketiah, who I think they picked up from Chelsea. Probably count himself unlucky not to go to the Euros as he has been in good form.

Also likely Shashoua, Tanganga and Brown will be going for us, strange no squad announcement has been made seeing as it starts next week

Also I keep forgetting to post this but in case anyone hasn't come across it, its a blog set up by @KingSRV who has posted on here a few times. Really good read if you have time. Really appropriate seeing as Leko is making his PL debut, hope it goes well.

I unsurprisingly agree with most of it, and think that the general football fan and some managers are still unaware of the increase of talent being produced compared too say 10 years ago and tar the current lot with the same brush. Hence the constant shock that when a player does come straight from an academy and do well, followed by constant sayings of its the exception not the rule, as that is exactly what it was 10 years ago

EDIT - @Bus-Conductor you may find this interesting, in case it gets missed

There's some quotes from Ball in the loan watch thread where he speaks about his chances of breaking into our first team, so I think he's signed an extension that wasn't announced.

Every Rangers fan I've spoken to has had nothing but praise for him. Against Celtic, he played better than his Celtic counterpart, who just so happens to be Scotland's captain.

I'll never forget, when I did my level 1 FA coaching badge about 6 years, that the coach who taught us kept on banging on about the fact that in this country we have as good a youngsters as anywhere else in Europe and have had for ages in terms of raw ability. It's the coaching that's let them down and don't get them to progress as they should. I always thought that that must be correct and it was down to coaching, attitude, facilities etc to get them up to a decent level. It seems from reading this that he is saying that too. That there is talent out there, it just needs to be brought through properly.

I watched the match and he did not impress me personally. Not saying he is a bad player, but our standards I am not too sure. Regarding Rangers fans, one forum said he was decent enough for them and Scotland, but not for our league from what they have seen. I cannot remember the forum.

100%. You only have to watch international youth football to know that is this case. Not only that but at club level also.

City and Chelsea regularly win youth tournaments from u15s up including other top academies, with predominantly English players. Arsenal recently won an international tournament with Anderlecht, Ajax and Barcelona in.

Last year our u17s won a tournament with Benfica, Real Madrid (I think) in.

Angel Gomes, Sancho, Kirby are all players that have won POTT awards the first 2 numerous times, yet in a couple of years times when these u17s are u19s no doubt we will be clamouring to sing the players from Ajax and Anderlecht or whoever gets their chance first, whilst ours go on loans or are forever blocked.

It wouldn't surprise me if our u17s and u19s both won their Euros this season. I have already read people wanting to sing Rashford and Fosu-Mensah who both have come in and looked decent straight away, yet there is still a fear for most fans , not just Spurs.

I'm sure someone will be saying we should sign Leko next January.

Imagine how many players England are losing out on due to a lack of chances from 18/19 up. So when a player like Alli does come through or get a chance, who is very talented he is hailed as one of the greatest when he is part of a number of top players around his age in England.

I can't be bothered to dig up most of the times I've asked Rangers fans about him, but here's one from reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/FifaCareers/comments/4goqda/zelalem/d2kj7cc?context=3 They all say the same kind of stuff.

Ball isn't eye catching, but he's very effective at breaking up play, defending, and getting attacks started from the back, much like Dier.
