Nothing I have heard, just me musing on the previous post. I was under the impression MP liked Mason.
Didn't MP once say that he rated Mason not only as a player, but also as a person (or something similar) when he was captain in a game during the autumn?

He wasn't doing any more harm to it (save for to his reputation with the boo boys). The decision was help us with the run-in vs going the Euros.
Must admit, he didn't seem to be too comfortable in these last few games. Maybe Sonny is the one poch hooked for letting him down, whereas mason was probably hooked because of his injury.

Would Coutinho be too expensive. He's worked with Poch before and would give Eriksen sen sen a kick up the ar*e.

Liverpool would ask for a King's Ransom. Coutinho would probably cost 50 mill quid or more. There's got to be a reason why he hasn't moved to other clubs who actually offer CL. You'd think Real or Barca would be interested.

There's no way he is real / barca standard,
He scores about 10 goals a season

Mason is a tough one, I'm sure an itk said he was one of poch's best lieutenants in the dressing room though. ie a trusted player

Didn't the ITK about Poch unleashing hell in the dressing room say he felt let down by players he thought he could trust?

Mason's having an operation on his fractured ankle today or tomorrow. He won't even be able to take a medical for 8 weeks or so, so the story is clearly bollocks

The Bournemouth link is just lazy from the local rags down their, principally because his best mate is Adam Smith

You can have a medical even after being injured....a few seasons back Villa signed a player with a broken leg.

Son's carrying a knock too. His foot condition was always going to affect him for 9-12 months. We should see the real Son next season.

Him and Kane led the homegrown coup 18 months ago. They are very (positively) influential in the dressing room.

The Mason info is really interesting. I've always liked him as a player. But if that is the case then it's pretty stupid playing him. Hardly fair on the player, his team mates or the fans who wouldn't take this into consideration and expect every player taking the field to be 100% fit (or near enough).

If Mason goes to Bournemouth then fair enough, but obviously Poch sees enough in him to play him. And surely you can't deny that when fit last season he was an integral part of the team.

I swear to fuck that some people (not specifically you)have short memories.

This. Fair play if they're both permacrocks now, but a fit Mason and Bentaleb would be like two new signings next year.
Both have class, both are still learning, and it's bloody annoying how quickly they've both been written off.
All that said, with Winks and Onomah coming through, it's going to get bloody competitive in the middle.
May the best Spurs youth product win, but there's no need for the vitriol against any of them - or Carroll for that matter!

Make him the dressing room mascot. Keep him off the playing field.

I seem to recall Paulinho playing some at the end of last season before he was sold off too. IIRC, he had a run in the side basically from end of March to beginning of May, before being sold. Soldado came off the bench constantly during and including the end of last season, too.
My point is obviously, one can't read too much into Pochettino's squad choices, they don't seem to be specifically good indicators on upcoming transfer activities.

When it comes to CMs last season, I'm still greatly in doubt whether Mason and Bentaleb were picked because they were good in a literal sense or only in a relative sense to other options in the squad. They may have been the best of two evils. (Go on, queue your negative ratings, I really don't care).

Being the boss means tough decisions.
All the Mason & Son info is very interesting, but are they top 4 players?
Are Chadli, Caroll, N'jie?

Sometimes I think it's best for all parties to move on.
Mason, Chadli and Caroll need to be improved on for me
