Seriously, does no one learn French at school anymore? It says PSG is after Janssen because he can kick with either foot, head the ball and is cheap. Also, he reminds them a bit of JP Papin (see youtube, especially his song with Chris Waddle). It goes on to say, however, that they would not place Cavani in an uncomfotable position, as he plays as the no. 1 striker down the middle.

It also says that us and the Hammeroids are interested in another PSG target, Lacazette. His plus points include being able to play wide, so presumably would not threaten Cavani like Janssen could.

Hi, I spoke with the mirror jorno who knows a bit about our interest in Janssen. The PSG rumours are true but the lad wants to join us because he understands he'll get a lot of pitch time. He thinks Levy will eventually meet the price because Poch has really pushed having most new players in before pre season and thinks Levy now understands the importance of this.Nothing ground breaking.

I hope it's true!

So Levy didn't understand the importance of getting players in before new season, really?

The Mirror journo is almost certainly Darren Lewis, who broke the story about the discussions with Janssen a couple of weeks ago.

Edit: Really think he will settle. And if he is as good as our second to last Dutchman...

Hopefully true, as I think Janssen will go on to score goals wherever he goes. He seems to have a knack (admittedly from highlight reels) of taking the ball, even with defenders say his back, and it sticking to him, then seems equally comfortable shooting off either foot, and generally being on target. That's key, must work the keeper. He doesn't appear to need to shift to a favoured foot. This guy is just lethal, and when we have games where we need to break a stubborn defence who are happy to sit in, his accuracy could be telling. He strikes me as one of these, that if we don't get him, he'll end up at Everton or Southampton, rattle 20 goals in, and be chased by top 4 sides for double what he cost this summer.

Sanabria is the other player in the mix. Looks bright, but Janssen just looks like he's a bit more advanced in his development, and liable to make an earlier impact. Still hoping for both, but ITK suggest that won't be happening.

'He'll get a lot of pitch time' ........... 4-4-2 it is then :D
Unless a couple of games in the Carling Cup and FA Cup constitute a lot of pitch time

You'd expect that mirror journo (probably Darren Lewis) to write an article about that info if he really believed in it, no?

Well, if he's the one we are going for now, I hope I'm wrong, because I think he's average at best
