I have a match worn Hummel home shirt, with number 15 on back, that was worn in a benefit game for Michael Hughes on 6/9/88 against Swansea City.

After the game, we won 3-0 (Gazza, Howells & P.Gray), the shirt was presented to M.Hughes by Gary Mabbut signed by the squad with players including Gazza/Waddle/Mabbut/P.Stewart/Hughton/P.Allen/M.Thomas/etc. The shirt also has the match benefit brochure & signed letter from M.Hughes authenticating the shirt and explaining the circumstances of how he received it.

How do I go about getting this shirt values and if need be selling it on....? I have pictures to prove all the above but have no idea how to upload them.

Neville Evans runs the national football collection. He's a spurs fan and collects all types of football memorabilia, especially Spurs stuff. It maybe something he would be interested in. He does have agents who will come out and value and buy if you want to sell.

The provenance adds interest but in all honesty even then it isn't worth much to anyone except a total football nutcase or a Spurs fan. If you're going to sell it, there's a number of specialist auction sites just a google away and i'd probably sling it in with a reserve set at something you're comfortable with and although you never know i'd be surprised if you got much for it. Save yourself all the angst and hassle and either sling it on ebay and accept what you get for it or have it framed and put up on the wall of your wanking den.

Sorry I couldn't be more positive.

Value is dependent on what the market will pay.
Just put one on ebay with a £10 reserve and cross your fingers.

I'd say £100-£200, if you could find who wore the shirt maybe a little more.

Just found this searching, turns out it was Gazza's first ever game for Spurs!

"I remember going to Mike’s testimonial match against Tottenham Hotspur at the Vetch Field. It was the first time Paul Gascoigne played for Spurs after his transfer from Newcastle United. Gascoigne scored a 25-yard free kick that evening."

You could tweet him and see if he remembers who wore it...
