Alright, I know this thread has probably been posted to death in the past but with the new contruction works etc, things may have changed around WHL.

Where's the best place to park on a match day?

I unexpectedly got tickets for Saturday and I'm going down on my own and not sure where to park.

In the past we've gone right outside the ground in one of the schools or wherever and paid out our arses for it but it's convenient. Obviously post game traffic is shite so that's something I'm looking to avoid this time.

What are my options? I've read Ikea is a decent place to chuck the car but i'm not sure on time limitations there or such?

Bit of advice would be appreciated. Cheers

I park at ten minutes walk from the ground, Megacrash Repairs, Bull Lane, £5. I used to park over the road in the free bit next to the park but the local wildlife have a tendency to do the windows under the cover of darkness and disappear into the playing field. Never had the motor touched in years since I pay to park.

Well done, you've successfully creeped out that poor passer by. :joyful:

I'm guessing it's one of those where they open the gates on match day for supporters then?

More than happy to pay a couple of quid to keep the car secure

I park in the Bookers car park off Queen Street. If you manage to get out of the ground sharpish on the final whistle, it's usually a doddle to get back on the main roads. If you hang about afterwards, you'll be sitting on Queen Street for at least half an hour.

when I was young my dad would park in enfield near the school an the graveyard, it was a decent walk to the stadium and we missed all of the traffic afterwards. We even got a wave by tim sherwood when he was driving past one day lol.

Occasionally i walk down there and after a game last season saw a VW that had its windows done and a range rover the same. The latter were away fans with kids and they had to check that all their bags (presumably from an overnight stay somewhere) was still there.

To the OP, you can park just the other side of the A10 (Pasteur Gardens) it's free and about a 20/25 minute walk from the ground. If you're out on time you generally miss the A10 traffic up to the north circular roundabout

I used to park in Acacia Avenue just inside of the A10 until it got roped into into the CPZ, I used to speak with the residents and they had more problem with overspill parking from a local church than football matchday parking, bit of a trot in the rain though isn't it?

In the rain it can be, remember last game of the season a few years back (maybe 5) it threw it down and i just had to run back there in it was like a drowned rat by the time i got to the in-laws.

Parking just the other side means you can go north without having to turn round anywhere as well

The best answer depends entirely on what way you come from.

If you leave northwards (towards the North Circular) I would recommend Frederick Knight Sports Ground. It's only a 10 minute walk from the ground, but it's near enough to the main road that once you get out the car park, you're past 99% of the traffic, and you're out of the Tottenham area within 2 minutes. Costs £10 which is pretty standard.

We park next to pymmes park. Walk through park, under silver street bridge, down high road. 10 mins at a trot, but get there 45 mins before k.o or you'll have moist cheeks upon entering the stadium concourse

I'll be on the North Circular coming in from the West.

I'm swaying towards Pasteur Gardens because it looks like it might keep me out of the traffic after the game...

Either that or Frederick Knight Sports Ground as suggested by TottenhamLegend

I don't get why anyone would pay. We park outside the hospital for free and have done for years.
