I don't get the moaning. Sissoko has proven he can cut it in the Premier League, starter for a top international team and fits a need. He is a very direct, strong and pacey player that can play in the Dembele role (very similar to Dembele while dribbling in his strength on ball) and out wide in an attacking 3. 30m is the new 20m with TV money and to be honest, it's not easy to find players that can come in, improve the squad and fit within the wage structure. As somebody said earlier, Chadli + Mason + Yedlin translates to the Sissoko fee and I dont know many would disagree with a swap of those 3 bench players for Sissoko who can come in and make an impact. He is a Poch type of player with his work rate and strength and we need more directness in the team. Forget the price and evaluate the deal on its merits.

Other point I don't think anyone has pointed out, so apologies if it has been mentioned. But Lamela now no longer being Spurs' most expensive signing surely must take a lot of pressure and weight off his shoulders.

He's a quality player, ideal dembele cover for me. He's physical has pace. And he's terrified us in the past. Very happy with this if it happens.

The bitter, bitter irony of Levy infuriating everyone with his frugality, only to confound and infuriate us further by spunking £30 million on a player worth a fraction of that.

What's the point of penny pinching all summer only to get into a £30m bidding war with Everton for a 27 year old consistently inconsistent player from a relegated team at 10.15pm on deadline day?

5 year deal for a 27 year old relegated player who blows hot and cold.... mostly cold. Glad to see Levy backing Poch but surely there are better ways to spend that money. Kovacic must have been a possibility for that value considering RM have to dump one more player?

Here's hoping Isco has a change of heart, then I can wash this bad taste out of my mouth. Way to much money for someone who only provides depth (IMO)

Moussa Sissoko reps have told Everton he doesn't want to sign for them. Ronald Koeman hasn't been able to get hold of Sissoko on the phone. (Sky)

Honestly, I've watched this guy a lot, absolute best of a player. If Poch taps in and gets his head right, this is a huge signing for us, huge.

Don't make the mistake of being underwhelmed because of the inconsistentcy at Newcastle, it was a mess.

This guy has the ability to pull defences all over the shop. What a signing to round out our midfield options.

We've seriously just upgraded our strength in depth if this goes through.
The Isco deal fell through mate
