The lower tier is now pretty much sold out.

Only seats together are behind the goals and in the corners at the back.

Brunel_Spurs on SSC couldn't wait for the club to confirm how many we've sold. So did it himself. We've sold 80,000 so far by the looks of it.
Ok boys and girls.... I have gone in and counted all the available seats for you... every single damn green little dot!

Now, it took a while but I took screenshots of each block and counted them offline so as not to get in the way of purchasers. As at 13:30 UK time, (notably before I got the club email about the tickets going on general sale), the following number of seats were left available:

Lower tier (capacity 34,303): 1,051 seats left
Middle tier (capacity 16,532): 1,110 seats left
Upper tier (capacity 39,165): 8,393 seats left

Total of 10554 seats left as at 13:30

90,000 seats - 10,554 = 79,446. So good guess JimB

really impressive, hopefully no more are being held back
Don't believe the away allocation is sold out. Monaco only average 11k - I'd be surprised if they filled more than a single block.

Ive been sat on the loo playing the champions league music in preparation. If you don't already, try it. Really livens up the atmosphere. I'm gonna lie a flare next time, make it a real European experience

By the way of comparison. Arsenal's attendances in their two years playing CL at Wembley. Do we know what the capacity was then?

Pretty sure they were sell outs, so I'd guess the capacity was around 74,000. Probably couldn't use the first few rows because of Uefa's larger advertising boards. Bigger novelty factor back then, I think they'd struggle to fill Wembley now without any glamour ties.

With the exception of Man U, all other clubs would struggle to sell this huge stadium out for a routine CL game.

And it looks like we will or at least be very close

When searching did see some rugby games in same year with higher attendances

Regardless of whether It's 80 or 90k, Wembley will be buzzing.

This is a screenshot I have just taken no green left now so looking good. Not sure how many they will shift between now and then perhaps a lot of freebies to local school kids is going to pad it out and maybe bring a few future fans into the fold would be my guess.
