He makes it quite clear he was responsible and asked questions of himself as part of a collective group to do better.
A manager can only prepare a player so much, the players need to perform when they cross the white line, and the result was not down to the manager lack of preparation to cope with Monaco, it was too many individuals errors.

Maybe you chose the wrong wording to explain your point but to say the manager needed to "motivate" a player for CL game in front of 85,000? Seriously?
Watch the beginning of the video again, Poch says maybe he did not know how to motivate the players.

Wimmer should not have been dropped when Jan came back as he didn't put a foot wrong. he says CCV is better than Winmer so then CCV starts, Wimmer is on the bench and Jan dropped? I don't think he will do this, so I believe there is another reason he doesn't rate Wimmer for some reason.

Son, Lamela and Eriksen behind Kane and Alli further back didn't work, It will be interesting to see the team for tomorrow. This is when Poch will earn his money.

Interesting times and a key point in the season already

That was pretty good press conference from Pchettino.

I like the fact that he wasn't happy with much of what happened at Stoke, people came in here after the game moaning at other people who also were critical of aspects of that game, with the usual "FFS we won 4-0 some people just can't enjoy themselves" pap. Pochettino said exactly the right things, it's not about the score it's about the performance, and goals are often about moments, and if your are going to depend purely on moments and the rest of the game is a bit of a lottery you are fucked, and what he is concerned with is the performance. He also repeatedly used the words Aggression & Passion.

This is good, as is the fact that he repeatedly acknowledged his responsibility. But he needs to walk the walk.

Yeah, I remember watching an interview with a former Forest player, from Cloughie's heyday. He said he remembered them coming off at half time in a match four nil up - and they were all smiling and contended and all. The walked into the changing room and Cloughie flew at them, ranting that they were a disgrace and they had done this, that and the other wrong. But that was his job...

...it's not your job. I think the problem some folk have (not myself, I hasten to add) is that you don't wait a day or so and then state that you've re-watched the match again and on second viewing you've spotted x, y or z. You just immediately go off on all of these perceived failings - and sometimes, y'know, there are two teams in it and the other team has a say and sometimes plays well (or are just plain better), and no team, ever, has ever played a 100% perfect match, even when it's the Harlem Globe Trotters versus Trotters Independent Trading Company.

Just gives the impression that you don't ever actually just watch a match, enjoying it. I cheer - against Stoke when we scored our fourth, I cheered...loud. It kinda feels like a smile may have briefly passed your lips while writing in your note-pad Vertonghen's positioning terrible if we had missed and they had counter-attacked through his position.

Just saying :)

I've only watched the first few minutes so far but Pochettino first and foremost took responsibility himself, repeated several times that he took responsibility first and foremost.

What a departure from Redknapp and his constant utterings about "they" whenever the team performed poorly

About Kane's injury:

"Is impossible now to know how long will be ... to be ... out of the pitch, but we believe that can be available as soon as possible".

Perez gave a little more insight apparently:

The right ankle-ligament injury that Harry Kane sustained against Sunderland on Sunday was a major topic of discussion and Pochettino’s assistant, Jesús Pérez, said that the swelling was still so severe that it was impossible to accurately scan the damage – which sounded worrying. “This is why you can’t give a time-frame [for his absence],” Pérez said, although the early estimate is one of around eight weeks.

(From a guardian article).

@aliyid are you Ali Gold?

If so, what is the story with press conferences, as in, how come we only get approximately 10/15 minutes of video footage?

How long do they actually last?

Finally, is the reason the video footage is cut short to provide journalists something to write about?

He said it was a sell out, is that right? Didn't look like it on my dodgy stream..

media reported 26,000 attendance that I saw so no where near sell out. Plenty empty seats on the match highlights I've seen
