I have seen Martin Chivers struggle, Clive Allen look ordinary, and Steve Archibald look like he should be playing for Rochdale.............reserves.

Some players take time to settle in (Lamela & Son for modern examples) and in fairness the only two players that i have seen strike gold from the get-go was Jimmy Greaves and Jürgen Klinsmann both who we fucking remarkable players.

And that other guy...Gareth someone...born to play for Spurs and wherever else the success/money/medals takes him apparently.

Hopefully this gives him the confidence to go on and score goals now. It happened to Kane last season, struggled early in the season and then went away with England and got a goal, the rest was history.

I still believe this guy will turn to be a really smart bit of business. Just needs to get that first one in the net from open play. Can't fault his effort. And for those comparing him to Soldado, he's physically far more suited.

Gareth would not have any desire to leave if he were playing for us right now.

Sadly I think he still would go, he is on something like 300k per week at Madrid and about to get a pay rise according to recent reports

This is exactly what we want to see. International goals from our players, especially vinnie. I have no doubt it is only a matter of time till he clicks with the "philosophy". He is the striker for the Netherlands, that is a pretty exclusive club. Happy to give him plenty of time as he had already showed enough to say he has the class.
