Over on the other board I frequent (yeah, I know...) I started the following thread, and I thought I'd post the same thing here and see what happens...

"I've thought long and hard about this and I know I'm going to upset a few by saying how I feel, but if Tottenham don't win the Premiership this season, then the club I'd like to see win it is... Liverpool.

City have won it recently, Chelsea have won it recently, United have won it recently, and there's now way I could ever hope for a scum victory....So if we don't win it, I would choose Liverpool, who are playing fantastic football and who've never won it.

There, I've said it.

So if not us, then who would the rest of you like to see win it"?

The thought of Liverpool winning the premier league makes me want to violently throw up, if you think they are bad now (trust me, they are the WORST supporters and most entitled supporters in this league) can you imagine what they would be like if they won it? What the media would be like? The media still talk about them now like they won the champions league yesterday, Jamie Redknapp and company would probably masturbate themselves into a coma.

I would say anybody BUT Liverpool (And the scum of course.) My vote would be City, they should be winning it anyway with that squad and quite frankly they don't mean anything to me unless we are directly competing against them and their supporters are not bad (from my experience.)

Also, lets be honest, Liverpool winning it would be the worst news for us in terms of momentum for the future and players choosing where to go, it would be a complete nightmare all round.

I'd rather Leicester won it again than Liverpool. In fact I'd rather chew out my own eyeballs than watch them win it.

Liverpool have been acting as if their return to being Champions is a formality - just a question of time and for that reason I really don't want them to win it. Their fans would be even more insufferable than they currently are and as for the pundits. . .

Out of those who "should" be in with a chance of winning it then it has to be City for all of the reasons previously posted.

A.E.A.

Anyone except Arsenal. It's been a while since they won it and some may have forgotten how awful it is when they do.

This is going well...

ok if you want an answer

definitely not: Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Wet Spam, Man U, or Leicester.

as many others have posted Man City, they were the bookies favourites from the start, and luckily I don't know any so wouldn't get any abuse.

In reply to the original question why consider impossible situations ? :)

If the question was more accurately phrased as who do we want to come second then I'd go for Everton as I quite respect Koeman and I'm finally over Neville Southall's save from Maxi Miller.

Everton would be my choice, but don't really mind City, always liked them as a club and fans are proper fans even though the club gone stellar.

As an aside I would rather Arsenal won the title than Liverpool too.

The only time I cheered an Arsenal goal was the 88? Season final game where Arsenal nicked it with a last minute winner from ummm Michael Thomas ??? Or something like that- dude with the big forehead.

Growing up 70's seeing London boys singing Livvvveerpoooooooooool in a scouse accent at school and round the way was so distasteful to me, Liverpool are in of the top echelon of hated teams, yes even above Arsenal....kind of Level with Chelsea and West Ham not far behind.

Never Liverpool. Anyone but Liverpool.

Of the top six I'd prefer City. It means so much less when it's them and their billions.

Everton. The blue side of Merseyside must be bloody hard work. I feel a certain affinity with them.

Disagree - I'd rather have a manger like Pochettino.
Klopp has enthusiasm for the game, but he needs to get control over it rather than let it spill out.
He just seems a bit of a media whore to me....

I'd rather have Pochettino as well, but Klopp is still charismatic, has integrity and his teams play great football.

A few years ago now before we were anywhere near the top (probably just before or around Jol era), Gerrard was at his relative peak iirc and I thought, christ, I hope Liverpool win it, anything to stop Chelsea or United. But now... no way. Everything outside the club is just horrible (fans and media), though I have to say now that that lunatic Rogers has left my opinion has gone back up, if but a little.

Everton? Gotta like Everton,. But them winning it? No. It would be a real kick in the teeth if a club who have been on on the periphery of Europa qualification for so long suddenly whipped up a title wining season when we couldn't. Leicester were bad enough.

No, for me it has to be Man City. They have bought their success and I can just accept it and like others have said, they have likeable manager and players.

I can't. I remember going to Stamford Bridge when it was like a cabbage patch. They were a crap team in a crap stadium and that's where they belong.

Now it's been pretty established that most of us would choose City, it leaves the further question of "if not us or City who else?"

Is the Liverpool hate strong enough to supersede Arsenal or Chelsea? Not for me. Even Utd now they have Moaninho have become detestable in my eyes.
