Someone told me that the only place you could buy alcohol was in Club Wembley. Can anyone who was sitting there for the Monaco game confirm whether or not this is true?

I was in Club Wembley for Monaco and had a couple of pints. Had no idea the rest of the stadium wasn't selling alcohol.

Nice pizza too.

took 20-30 mins to get into the station due to size of the crowd

I think it also depends on what side of the stadium you're sat.
If you're on the side where the station is, and you leave at the final whistle, it's pretty quiet (or it was for the Monaco game).
Obviously, if you're coming round from the other end, then it will have got busier by the time you get there.

Now I'm even more pissed off that Club Wembley tickets sold out before I could blink

quick question - did anyone use Wembley Stadium station to get home after the Monaco match?
If you stayed for the final whistle, What were the waiting times like?
(i'm not keen on waiting over an hour to get on at Wembley Park as my son was shattered last time)
Cheers

I went to and from via Wembley Central - breeze getting there (15 minute walk there), better than I was expecting coming home (left right on the final whistle 5 minute wait outside station and another 5 minutes for a tube, got a seat).

I was on my own though and walk pretty fast so I did probably skip past several thousand people on the way home. Wembley Stadium station queues looked horrific from the outside.

Only bit I found difficult was battling through the crowds directly outside the station after the game ended - 85k people crammed into a small ring around the stadium, all heading in different directions, took a good 5-10 minutes just to get out onto a road.

I actually bought one on the Tuesday afternoon before the game - there were only three tickets left on sale in the whole place and this one was at the end of a row so was a very lucky find. Always a bit strange going to football on your own but glad I did it.

I don't see how the North Circular can be that bad at 22:00 without much other traffic, and I'm expecting a relatively easy escape from the Harrow Road back to civilisation. But perhaps I lack imagination, and in fact I should be taking a few books and some emergency rations.
i avoided the North Circ on my way to the game as that part of its notoriously shite around that sort of time, but used it on the way back and it was sweet, i'll be doing the same tonight i think.

i'm glad i'm in club Wembley. Beer anyone??
I'm glad I'm in Club Wembley too. If I was being picky you could say the waitresses took a couple of minutes to bring your drinks over, but when they're putting the drinks on your table and giving you a nice long look at their cleavage it's certainly worth it.

Still, I'm sure you peasants will get a drink in the pub if you queue up for long enough.

That's ok if you want tea, coffee or coke. you wont get a beer in the stadium though - Uefa competition rules
Ah, must be as I'm in Club Wembley so can drink (assumed it was the same in other parts of the ground too)

Got caught in the queue at Wembley Park after the Monaco game for 45 mins or so.

Was Wembley Central any better last time for those that went that way?

Depends where in the stadium you are and how quickly you get out.
I left at full time, was at Wembley Central by 9.50, caught a tube to Harrow within 5 mins and then just managed to get the 10.10 heading north from there.
