Not a great shift by him today although at the time the whole team were playing poorly. He does however seem to have gotten more petulant - quite a lot of complaining today and throwing his arms up in despair.

And what happens if either Son or Kane get injured after we loan him out?
If or, then the one not injured plays if both are out, then Harrison. Personally, I would like us to bring someone else in, if a relevant player is available.

He needs to be getting in the box - he spends most of his time out searching for the ball. The same thing happened with Soldado, not playing to their strengths. If not for a wonder save in the game against everton, Janssen would have been up and running from the start and maybe we would have seen a totally different player.
it is a shame that we don't have a reserves team like in the 'olden days' where he would be getting game time(albeit a lower standard) and he could still be sharpening himself up and building confidence finding the net again.

What talent mate? Please explain what Vincent Janssen has shown?? The only thing I see is a battler playing with his back to the goal all the time. The odd occasion doing a berbatov abd throwing his arms in the air in frustration when he doesn't get the ball. He's fucking shite mate.
Wow - you're angry! I think his talent is his hold up play around the box, as you say. Sadly it's his in the box play that's failed him in England.
He clearly has skill and talent, namely that which he's shown in the Dutch League and in his few International games, but I agree he hasn't yet done any of that in competitive games here. Don't you think he just needs a goal, somehow to go in then he may be off and rolling?
He was so close against Everton, I thought he'd done it.

Poor again today, but he barely had a chance. That may be with how he's dropping deeper and playing with his back to goal, but you can see he's low on confidence. Still, he must be doing something right in training to get picked. Still far too early to write him off. I'm happy with the role he's playing

I don't think I've seen a player look so far out of his depth here for many a year. After last year, we needed to bring in the quality to help push us on and Janssen has been an absolute disaster in terms of adding that required quality..

Absolute dog turd today I'm afraid. Moved like a heavily sedated snail, no pace, wasn't sharp, hesitant.

I'd take a flyer on berahino even with all that's gone on, don't want this guy starting if Kane is out again

Regardless of whether we as fans are or are not still prepared to give him a chance to come good (and obviously after a performance like today's, there are going to be fewer and fewer people in the He Could Still Make It camp), the only opinion that really matters is Pochettino's... and sadly for Janssen it's hard not to imagine that his goose is well and truly cooked with Poch after the early substitution today. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we never saw him on the pitch in a Spurs shirt again; get the feeling that Poch is done with him already.

I don't think that's the way Pochettino does things. He might be dropped back to the outer limits, but I think he'll still do his best to coach him and will give him games if he's showing ability in training. He was poor today but he's not been in action for a while. Thought he looked on the right tracks prior to his absence. His biggest problem is not being in the right place, I. E. The box. Hopefully he watches the games he's been in a few times to realise. I still hold put hope he'll show why the club wanted him

If both of them get injured then we're out of luck. I haven't seen anything in the lad that warrants that option being the preferable next one available right now. People should play because they deserve to, he clearly doesn't. We can't give him the sympathy vote.

Hernandez ain't the answer. I've been impressed with Callum Wilson at Bournemouth. Strong, quick and can score goals

He has been no where near good enough in recent games - just going through the motions - there is a rumour he is going to Newcastle of all places.

I don't want to be that guy who told you so but I got absolutely slammed when I decided to download some matches of this lad when we were interested in him to see who he was. He was dog shite back then regardless of his record it was obvious who he was and the red flags were so obvious. Not saying i'm the greatest scout in the world but it was so obvious I don't understand how our scouting report could not have seen the player he was, he may come good but honestly I don't see how he has the quality to ever succeed here

Bad line up for him today, who's gonna set him up? Trippier and that's it and most of our play was down the left
Son is the greediest player we have pretty much, still like him but he likes a goal
Sissoko he's just a battering ram and I like him too but he don't assist or score but he has uses
Idk Jansen is on a hiding to nothing most games
I like a lot of what he gives us and I think given game time he's fine cover for our Harry
