Unless i missed it but why the fuck didn't Milner get a yellow for that tackle on Son. And if Son squares it we are at 2-1 at HT which would have been hilarious on the balance of play.

Whatever happens in the next 45 minutes, this and the City game should be a reminder that while we're a good team, we're a long way from being a great one. We aren't title contenders, just one of five good teams fighting for three champions league places.
I will have to agree and some other games too have shown me that we are good but not great... still a few bits lacking.

Let's see our mentality now...

Even the guy doing the BBC live text knows what the problem is:

Embarrassing we've let them play the exact way they want by playing exactly how they wanted us to.

Poch is stubborn with this, he wont adapt to playing defensively even if it was 20-30 minutes.

Since everybody is passing like Sissoko today but being bullied off the ball, we might as well put him on.

People can talk about the elusive "bottle", but that was a half fashioned by two coaches. Klopp got everything spot on. Pressed our defence, pressed Dembele and Wanyama, cutting off our oxygen. It's like all his gegen-pressing dreams come true.

Poch just didn't tailor us to these opponents, and then didn't change things, when he could see them collapsing.

Meh, Klopp just abused Davies with faster Mane, this is a typical midfield performance from us on wide pitches agaisnt teams that press.

Since we beat Chelsea our momentum has completely died. The same happened when we beat Man city and went on that run without a win. It makes no sense.

This needs no in depth analysis tbh. Poch is arrogant to a fault, liverpool know how to beat us, Davies and Son are awful. Wanyama loves giving the ball away. Analysis complete.

Move on. Nothing to see here. Liverpool have the 3 points in the bag.

On the bright side we were just as shit against City and managed to steal a point. Hopefully Liverpool turn down a gear after the break letting us back into the match.

Toss up whether to hook Davies or Son at halftime
Son has been the worse of the two in my opinion

Only reason to keep him on is that he does have a goal in him

Although he had a chance to score and his effort was tame

He's been a disgrace first half and while Davies himself has been poor Son has completely left him exposed and even Rose would have struggled with Son in front of him today

Dier and Wanyama but poor for the respective goals by giving away possession cheaply

We've been awful and really shot ourselves in the foot today - can only pray for a fluky undeserved come back like against Man City
