We need a nice quick nifty striker. I'd sign another striker in the summer whether we keep Janssen or not.

Sounds like he will be getting his chance on Sunday as Kane is injured. I hope he does better than his last few performances.

As he was left out of the squad entirely today, I wouldn't be surprised if son started up front the next two games.

I really feel for the bloke.

I think its already clear the manager doesn't rate him so let him leave in the Summer and we can all move on.

It is a shame though because I think he has the attributes to be a good player in the Premiership. Whether that's for a team fighting for the top four I am not sure.

Got no faith that he will come good and got no faith that he will come in and do a job when Kane is injured. How are we back to this situation where we are relying on a terribly out of form Kane ?

Should have started and played 90 last night and against Fulham, Kane looks mentally fucked. And let's be honest, Janssen huffing and puffing around isn't any worse than Kane's has been for the most part, and if we could actually get Janssen a goal or two in games like these, we might just turn out to have a very competent back up on our hands.

What does 'mentally fucked' look like?

It seems that his knee is fucked rather than mentally fucked according to Poch

I honestly believe Janssen and Kane are very similar. Janssen has very little confidence and is settling into the league but I honestly think if Janssen gets enough game time to get a few goals the gap in perception between them will lessen.

This season we have seen a few performances from Kane that are every bit as ineffectual as Janssen's. As good as we are right now it's clear to see we have the unfortunate ability to fail to function as an attacking force in games leaving the single striker to look hopeless. I really do think Janssen has suffered due to a collective failure of creativity throughout the team.
