Gonna get some flak for this but people saying they are proud of the team and that we played well are part of the problem.

As a club we accept defeat far too easily, the players come in to the game nervous and almost expect to concede every time we equalize.

We lost because we made unforcered errors in key areas of the pitch. Chelsea were far more professional and didn't really give up any easy chances, we had to do some exceptional things to score.

In the end fans of any other top four club would not come away from a semi final defeat where they had conceded 4 goals saying they were proud of the team.

Until we as a club demand better we will always be bridesmaids.
The opposite of proud is ashamed. Does this mean you are ashamed? Proud is not a simile for satisfied.

Not sure I agree with this. As fans, our job is to support. It's up to the players, the manager and the chairman to instill a winning mentality and I don't for one minute think Poch is content with being an also ran.

We outplayed a team that costs millions more than us who have an owner with a bottomless pit of money who is quite happy to spend 30m on players to sit in the stands rather than have them signing for another club. Honestly, it's a miracle we even compete on their level. That's why we're proud of the team.

The value of our starting 11 is more than there's though. Just because they spent more than us doesn't mean their players are better. We've picked up players cheaply who are now worth huge money.

I don't understand this idea that it's a miracle we compete like we've got 11 pub league players. We've done exceptionally well to put together a starting 11 for not too much money but player for player id choose ours over there's except for Hazard and maybe Kante.

I'm not proud to lose 4-2 to a team who I believe we are better than. We're not some non league team who put up a plucky fight.

There are no prizes for doing the best per dollar spent in the end if we want to be a great club we just need to win things, not moan about the money other clubs spend, it's a cop out. Imagine if the players had that attitude, dembele and Wanyama would have to let kante and Matic boss them as they cost more. Alli should also be happy with losing, because after all, if you only cost 5m, how can you expect to win any trophies?

We have to move on, love Poch to bits but he made poor decisions today and that one is on him I'm afraid, but hopefully he will learn from the cups this year, as lets be honest that was the first challenge we have had this year in the FA Cup!

It is all now about how we react in these last 5 BIG matches. If we don't finish 2nd we will be the laughing stock again (3rd in 2 horse race jokes will be back) what better way to bounce back then Palace on Wed and then Arse on Sunday in our last NLD at WHL.

We MUST get some experience in the summer, we need it badly as we need to overcome this issue of beating the big teams

Your are entirely right but the spam will flow.

So you are saying that whenever you lose a match you can never be proud? Ok.

Perhaps people that demand nothing less than a victory are the problem? We are going toe to toe with the richest clubs in the world and you still demand more?

As long as i see 100% effort and the club is generally moving forwards i will be a very proud fan....even in defeat.

Someone mentioned it earlier and its a great point, the difference between us and them is, we wouldn't accept playing like that with those resources.
Christ I wouldnt accept it without them.
You wanna win like that, fkin long ball and set pieces, fouling and cheating then you go follow Chelsea or Man U.
We don't play that way. We don't buy a team.
We are Tottenham.
And when we win its because we fkin deserve it and we're better than you. And when you lose to us it's gonna hurt that much more because of it.
WE ARE TOTTENHAM

Not like we were put in 4-0 before scoring 2 fluke goals did we?

We came back from trailing behind a goal twice to draw level and was superior for sustained period but only failed to add in a lead in BOTH occasions.. It is in this context, the team deserves more support than they do from this loss, espeically when we could not do anything for the 4th goal.

The fact is that they got away with a lot. Atkinson gave us nothing. The penalty from where I was sitting wasn't clear as Moses appeared to dive, even though Son should not have dived in. The team played very well, despite very trying circumstances on and off the pitch.

We have a team that is equal to theirs both in talent and in terms of monetary worth. Their previous actions in the market is irrelevant to the situation now. This side is good enough to beat that Chelsea side, it is is good enough to win silverware and it is not achieving either of those aims. We are in situation where we have a side that is good enough to win the competitions that it competes in and it is failing to do. In the cup tournaments we look way short of attaining success in that area. This club cannot compete at the highest level in the medium to long term but it currently possess a side that can do that and as it stands it is not taking advantage of that. Questions should absolutely be asked if it is failing to capitalise on these opportunities as these will not come along too often.

Chelsea are not a better team than us. We made some very fucked up formation decisions today and that is why we lost the game.
