In a word, yes! Barca in particular... look at their shirts since 2002...

Their 2012 kit is still the best. Lovely blend.

Looks like a cheap copy of the real one. The sponsor is too big and too close to the badges. With a little adjustment it could look good. Also this looks like an XXL version which probably doesn't help the look.

Looks like a knock off of the actual kit.Maybe the polka dots represent perforations in the sleeve. You know, to make the players sweat less or some bollocks

I've found good reasons why every previous effort has been a poor fake. This one looks like the real deal to me, I think this is it. A few have called it a knock off of the real design, but I think this is actually it, I'm putting my neck on the line. Nike's quality isn't top drawer and when it's not a staged shot there's always imperfections and creases. Loose threads are commonplace on all clothes these days.

I think it's ok, I'm a touch underwhelmed although I always knew it'd be straightforward and from the template, but it still doesn't grab me like I hoped it would. I really hate the shield though, the shape of it is not at all pleasing to the eye and it overcomplicates what is a simple and classy badge.

It's not the official kit. Look at the quality difference. There's no perforated pattern on the chest or anything. The pattern on the perforations on the sleeve aren't spaced correctly. It's a cheap knock off.

Good argument, hard to disagree with your analysis there. I remain in hope that the shield on these shirts, therefore, is not what we'll be stuck with!

Very possible that the official images that you posted are the field quality shirts and the Spurs shirt is the replica shirt.

Nike generally releases a few different "levels" of shirts. They'll release a cheaper replica model that looks like the real one but is made of cheaper material, a mid-level that is normally close to the real thing, and then the "official" shirt that is supposed to be spec to what the players wear and is the most expensive.

Yeah that's true, it may be the stadium shirt, it's not the official field shirt though.

I recall one season where Puma did that for us, albeit only two shirts. Replica and player.

Pretty sure Under Armour did it with the home shirt in their first season too. I think it retailed at £70.

We are talking about press shot quality vs actual quality here. When have you ever bought a McDonald's and it's looked like it did in the photo?

The shield looks hideous. Why's it silver? Makes it a lot harder to see the cockerel. Needs to be like the shield off the shirt with grey sleeves; white with blue trim and a blue cockerel

Why on Earth do we have our iconic emblem in a crappy 70s style shield. I absolutely hate it, can't understand why anyone would have ok'd that within the club it looks horrible I will not be buying that. Should have reverted to our old badge if we wanted to change, but I love our iconic simple cockerel badge.

Player spec shirts for both Puma and Under Armour have been an option in the Spurs shop since Puma's 2010/11 shirts, even before that you could get player shirts at a reduced price at the end of most seasons. The club list them as 'authentic' and they start out at around £100-£120... if you wait til the close season they go for £40.

even if the one now showing is fake (mock up) i still believe the main will be the same but more professional. it's been based on a similar template of the City shirt, and we all know Nike use the same templates.

the only thing I expect to be different with be the AIA being smaller, and the colouring inside the crest being white like the rest of the shirt, and hopefully a better quality.
