Not for me. Our players would be looking elsewhere without champions league as we do not pay what Arsenal do in terms of wages.

also, I have just enjoyed 9 months of quality football whilst arsenal have spent at least 7 months calling a pensioner the c word. Football is entertainment, they haven't enjoyed most of this season.

They had more televised games than us, I think that's where the difference was.

More chance keeping and attracting the best players with Champions League and challenging for the title than Europa League and an FA Cup. Plus the extra income from a Champions League campaign.

We should not confuse what happened this season, yes Arsenal won a trophy, we would like to win a trophy. Fact.

We finished second and we wanted to win the Premiership, Fact.

When you say you would like to swap, please consider this, we are a better team than Arsenal by far. Our Manager is far superior to theirs. We are bringing through great talents like Harry Winks and developing average players like Rose and Walker into world class talents. We have better training facilities. We are about to have a better stadium.

I would not swap our current position with any single club in the premiership let alone that shower from woolwich. We will win trophies soon, as long as we continue to improve as we currently are.

Agreed. Football is supposed to be fun to watch, and as much as I want to win, I don't want to be bored. If Spurs are playing great stuff I can be proud of and enjoy, and if someone comes along and beats us by being lucky, or by being even better, I can still enjoy it coz there is still glory in it.

Its losing while appearing to have no plan for playing well, and no discipline, and perhaps not enough skill, that I have really not enjoyed over the years.

This is the best time for supporting Spurs I remember because its not a couple of good players carrying the team, its the whole squad being really good, and playing together according to "our way", and mostly crushing all-comers. Its fantastic to see, and we've come second this year. Brilliant improvement based on proper progress.

All our regulars, and some of our second choice/squad players such as Trippier and Davies, have played so well that almost every team in the league would like to have them.

Sure, I want to win the league and everything else. BUT. I am absolutely loving the journey, the progress is plain to see (especially compared to what we used to have), and as I want to be entertained, I'm really happy with how things are going.

I know why I'm hopeful that we can do even better in the future too, because our play and our squad have been getting better and better, with no sign of a plateau just yet. Second half of the season we are much better then the first half, for example.

And get this:

Lowest wages paid in the top six.
Newest stadium project in the top six, and arguably the best when complete.
Most exciting young manager in the top six.
Top scorer in the top six.
Most goals scored in the league.
Fewest goals conceded in the league.
Undefeated at home this season in the league.
Highest number of English players in the top six.
Best atmosphere around the club of any besides the champions.
Crushing our local rivals and finishing above them for the first time in ??(don't tell me, its too long to think about)
Most improved team in the league (probably the world, but who cares?)
3rd last year, 2nd this year,...
Playing with authority.
Playing with a plan.
Always look like coming back when we have been behind (although not all in the match threads share my optimism in these moments).
Done without buying the most expensive players on the planet, and all funded by the club/support.

So, so much to be happy and pleased about at Spurs.

DL and MP et al are doing the best job I've seen at Spurs. We are stronger than ever in every area of the club.

If we win the league I'll be even happier.

Ask every arsenal fan if they'd rather the cup or the champions league.

The FA Cup is minor in the grand, world wide scheme of it.
The prize is a day at Wembley and a season of misery in the no-hoper league.

When you look at the sides PL teams played in order to get to the final in either the FA or Watney Cup, it really is nothing to boast about whoever wins either.

Unless you are a Woolwich fan in which case Sutton and Lincoln are scalps worth bragging about...

You said it. They won the FA cup, but we won sweet FA, that has to count for something :wacky:
