When the arse falls out of of footballs finances , and it will ,we may be one of the few clubs future proofed against it.

People have been saying this for best part of a decade and if anything football has gotten richer.

Its never going to happen they will just sell to another billionaire if they want to get out, there will always be buyers and they will always make money.

Seriously though, why would Bale go to Utd? He could pick pretty much any team in world football, barring Barcelona or Atletico, to go to! He could go to Bayern, Juventus, Man City etc etc who all have a better chance of winning their respective leagues than Utd and are playing in the Champions League.

I also have to question why any player would want to play for Mourinho, we as fans can tell that his football is dull and boring and is all about "don't concede can't lose" mentality! He would go down massively in my expectations if he went there and I would class his as a pure mercenary chasing the money.

Serious question...but I may be laughed at...

Why wouldn't he want to insist on coming back to us? The truthful answer that hurts is that he isn't or never really was that fond of us..."he's just not that into you"

But I guess it wouldn't make sense for us as well. Not really a "Poch" player, injury history now, wages are too big for the benefit.

Because they are the richest club in the world, arguably the biggest in it as well and are spending hundred of millions of pounds to get them back to the postion they once are in.

Its funny how when Modric and Berbatov left I thought they hated us but over the years you can see increased sentiment in their comments about us.

Conversely when Bale left I thought he loved us but ever since there has been nothing from him to suggest this.

Thankfully Harry Kane came along so I don't care that much but it would be nice to have him desperate to come back.

He supported Arsenal as a kid. Doubt he has much love for us.

Do you have proof of that (genuine question, not digging you out)? I've read him say he liked them but never that he supported them. The only team I've seen him claim to support is Real Madrid.

He definitely doesn't give a shit about Spurs though, the ungrateful, big eared, balding bastard.

Well no, I only saw a report saying he liked Arsenal as a kid, admired Henry and Viera. Maybe not support, He certainly has no love for Spurs anyway.

“I’ll never forget the great European nights at White Hart Lane. They were amazing,” Bale told BT Sport.

“Tottenham will always have a place in my heart. I hope the fans still love me even though I’ve moved on.

“I love Spurs fans; you never know, I could come back one day.

January 2015
"I used to actually like Arsenal a lot.

"But when I moved to Tottenham of course I liked them less"

May 2016
“It’s obviously a fairy-tale from Leicester. Now they’re top. But obviously, I’d love to see Tottenham win it," Bale told The Times, via Squawka.

“When I left I always wanted to leave on a good note, and I always wanted them to keep progressing, keep doing well. They understood the reasons why I wanted to come here to challenge for the Champions League, and win it like I have. I watch them every week.”

May 2016
"I hope they still love me there,"
said Bale, who was speaking exclusively to BT Sport.

"Obviously when I left I always wished they would do well and continue on progressing which they have done, and yes it would be exciting to play them in the Champions League and return to White Hart Lane," he added.

April 2017
Bale has offered a glowing recommendation of the Tottenham supporters by insisting that the north London side boast fans as passionate as those who follow Real Madrid.

When asked about the difference between Spurs and Madrid Bale told HypeBeast: “The expectations are probably higher at Madrid – the moment I signed for them, the sheer scale of the club is pretty obvious to see.

“Most clubs are different in lots of small ways, from the training to the pre-match preparation, to the players you share the changing room with. But the passion of both the Real and Spurs fans is the same.”

April 2017
The Telegraph reports: "Bale believes that Spurs have laid “the foundations” to win the Premier League at some stage in the foreseeable future. “They have a great manager and a young, hungry spine to the team."

All really good, polite answers, but sadly just sounds more and more distant the further he gets from his time here.

Couldn't be bothered to say anything or even tweet about the WHL finale, he's a dick.
