All really good, polite answers, but sadly just sounds more and more distant the further he gets from his time here.

Playing for another team who just happen to be the world's biggest club, with probably the biggest fanbase, for the past four years might well be the reason for that.....

and anyway he gets enough grief from some sections of the Real fans and Spanish press for one to assume that if he did love Spurs in any fashion that would make previous posters here sleep happily, he would be absolutely insane to ever mention it whilst still being a Real player.

Im sure that they do. They wouldn't be mega rich if they were that stupid with money.

At the end of the day they are looking at wrapping up a 3rd major deal in the space of a week and the season has only just ended.

That is pretty impressive although I do sit back in envy.

You've not met too many Oil Sheikhs have you?

They are extremely stupid with money. They have so much that it has no meaning and they get more from every gallon they pump out of the ground.

I worked for a construction company owned by a Sheikh in Qatar. His son would buy super cars to race around the grounds of his palaces (yes palaces, he had 4 wives and each had a palace of her own!). When the car ran out of petrol he would just abandon it in the grounds. One of the expats I used to drink with at the British club was a plumber who was working on the palace for the 4th wife. He saw a number of abandoned cars, including a Lamborghini Diablo that was rusting away in the salt air.

They have no concept of value whatsoever.

I think we get first refusal but that'll be a very short conversation.
I would fucking love it if Levy held off on giving an answer until the last second of the transfer window;

DL following Utd's offer: Yep, we'll meet Utd's offer, I'll fax the documents across once we've had the lawyers go through them.

1 month passes,

RM: Daniel, we have not received the paperwork.
DL: Yes, the lawyers have a minor issue with the payment structure, we'll advise shortly.

1 month later

RM: Daniel, we amended the payment structure, you will send the paperwork soon?

DL: Absolutely. You do appreciate that this is a huge deal for us so the lawyers are making sure everything is tickedy boo.

1 month passes,

RM: Daniel, the deadline is tonight, where is the paperwork?

DL: we're done. The paperwork will be faxed to you imminently.

Next day,

DL: Where is Gareth? We sent you the paperwork last night.

RM: We never received it and you weren't answering your phone.

DL: Are you serious? We needed Gareth and you've screwed us over! I thought we had a "special relationship! I'll let this one go for now, but you'd better not screw me over next Summer because I definitely want him then!

Prices have gone silly since then

despite what Paul Merson thinks...someone like Harry Kane would be £125m+ in this current market

Tbf you could start any logical, common sense sentence with despite what Paul Merson thinks...

Would United spend big to sign Him? Yes

I think it's just a stupid rumour based on him not being in the starting lineup, total bollox

The pressure on Pep will be unsurmountable this year. He really will have to deliver.

So that's around about £145m on two centre backs and a gk. None of them anywhere close to world class yet either.

Absolutely spot on. The phrase "more money than sense" could have been invented with them in mind.
