Whether this is about Dier or not, it has to become set in stone that we do not sell our players to other Top4 calibre Premiership sides. People can rationalise letting Walker go for a crazy price tag and a young high potential replacement but really we must now emerge from the shadows of the Utds and Citys etc, and not provide them with players that will make them better.
From this position if we can't go on to make the next 5/10 years a real sustained period of success for the club, as our current players still see rivals as 'bigger' clubs, i'll be really disappointed.
Hopefully we have already got past this point but I fear the financial clout of said clubs will perpetually trump us. Poch did say, no ones goes if we want to keep them, so roll on a Summer of intent.

Even if it's Dier to Utd, which I don't think it is, ITK can be wrong, things change.

Here you go. I missed it too. (follow the arrow)

I'm in the 'Levy wouldn't let this happen' club personally, but I can't blame Spurs fans for worrying that it'll all go tits up, it is our modus operandi after all.
Trix said we should keep an eye on the Dier situation a while back. And perhaps he was reiterating that we should do that, not necessarily confirming the answer to the cryptic (although he may have been). People in here are acting as if he's been sold already.

No point in having cryptic for an outgoing.

Think it could be 2 players from one club, Gray and Mahrez? Lemar and Sidebe?

So Trix is still telling us it's something to watch but at the same time is the perverbial red herring in this Goat cryptic?

Oh that is cunning, very cunning indeed.

We aren't selling Dier FFS. Trix just said a while back that there was something in United's interest. That's all.

Dier is 23 and is only going to improve. There is no way at all Poch would sell him.

I think of our first XI players from last year, Dier and Walker are the two we can most afford to lose in terms of playing ability.

But it's more the message it sends out if we lose two of our first team players to teams that finished comfortably below us.

Pretty fucking depressing to be honest. Hope it's something of nothing.

I like that when I said this a couple of pages ago I got loads of Disagree ratings

@Heath Pong no posts lurker

Yeah I was thinking the same.
Although the meltdowns are funny, I remember when ITK was just a bit of fun...people take it far too seriously these days imo.

Romeo and Juliet are also phonetic letters... So I'll let someone else figure out who J&R could refer to :cautious:

Nothing like an UNSOLVED cryptic to bring the half empty glasses out.

How long till The Goat comes back with a clue or solution to help us out? Fingers crossed it's 6pm.

Edit .... 7pm?

The Romeo and Juliet cryptic is obviously about Leicester. Their manager is literally named Shakespeare ffs.

I know Dier offers flexibility but as a DM he's behind Wanyama and I believe there are some pretty decent DMS out there that could well be available.

Ever Banega and Kondogbia to name but two.Could most probably snaffle a DM and RCB for the Dier wedge.

However, one out two in obviously loses another squad place. I wouldn't want him to go in any case, solely for the message it sends out.

I get players come and go, but we are on the cusp of something mighty fine in the not too distant future I feel.

Sell abroad if we really have to, not to a rival.
