Yeah, with their squad I actually think they should be finishing top 4 easily. Something is off with them at the moment, though. Almost like they have a total **** in charge or something
Agree I don't feel the threat from Liverpool they need to sign a minimum of 3 defenders maybe as many as 5, but they have signed Solanke and Salah.

Our surge up the table is going from a pus 4 and 5 goal difference 13/14, 14/15 to plus 34 and 60 15/16, 16/17.

No doubt it would be miserable if he went there but 120 million pounds is just bananas for an 18 year old no matter how good.

wonder if Pool are doing what we did with Bale? Buy Salah, perhaps back in for Virgil is the best part of a 100 million and then turn around and flog Coutinho to Barca for 90-100

Wouldn't matter a jot how much they pay for him. They can afford 120 mill. If they get him it would be terrible. He is a superstar

Where have Liverpool got all this money from? 60 mill bid VVD, 40 bid and now near 90 mill bid on Mbappe

They don't have the money - it's all about appeasing the fans, by saying they made an offer, in full knowledge it would never happen.

How is Aubameyang available half the price of Mbappe??
Mbappe is a rip off considering only one season of football.

Yeah, but Liverpool's season crashed and burned this year because Mane went to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Now they've spent nearly £40m to provide themselves with cover to stop this from hurting them again.

Super plan. Can't see a flaw in it at all. Well played, Liverpool. :cautious:

Liverpool: It's our year next every other year
By buying another player that will go off to the African Cup of Nations in Salah (Egyptian).

I think he'll got to Madrid. They won't allow themselves to be outbid by Arsenal for the potentially latest global superstar.

Especially if Barca get Dembele - they've been in contact

£34m for Salah seems like... a lot?

Mbappe, who undeniably looks shit hot, but £120m? What the feckery? He's had one big season!

And de Boer to Palace?

Terry to Villa?!

I officially have no idea what is happening in football anymore.

Liverpool look like they're just going to be an even more extreme version of what they were last season - trying to outscore everyone with a completely inability to defend, meaning the moment they come up against a compact team capable of defending properly which doesn't allow them to get round behind them, they'll come unstuck.

Plus European football and the ACON.

I'm not worried about Liverpool. I think they'll potentially get a striking start but then have a very difficult middle period and lose any chance of really challenging by the end of January.
