Probably told by a bellend that thought Shashoua and Lesniak were going to be the next crop of youngsters to break through because Poch put them on the bench. A whole slew of articles came out about them and they all ignored the fact that many of the ones we're actually expecting to push through were all either injured or away on international duty.

This isn't to slag Shashoua, but I don't believe anyone thinks he's in the same crop as Onomah, KWP, CCV, Edwards, etc. and is instead in the one behind and still needs more time for physical maturity.

precisely.

Who's the big No.9 striker? He looks good.

If you're talking about the Spurs clips then I believe that that is Shilow Tracey.

The England no.9 was Jonathan Leko the only obvious no.9 I spotted for us scoring against Arsenal was Griffiths. I didn't notice Tracey in any clips.

Also don't know why at the start they claim Shashoua is left footed

Griffiths is lankier and has a fluffed up hair-do, the number 9 in the clips looked more like he had a classic number 2 cut which is more Tracey's go to.

Reading that back makes me sound weird. I'm going for a lay down.

hertyid on edwards:
I was told at the end of last season that Shashoua was seen as a better prospect right now. Can't say I've seen much of him though.

Hertyid spelt Lesniak wrong surely ?

Thanks for passing Dov (especially as I'm banned from the ITK thread, it's nice to see a bit of blue) but as much as I like Shashoua, that's whack. Edwards is mustardo.

Winks beefed up a bit last summer.

Wonder which youngsters will do the same this year.

Actually I think Shashoua is really good and is genuinely well-liked by the club. He was training with the first team from a very young age despite his size.

From your point of view, do you think Marcus Edward's is as liked as much?

From a conversation I had with a spurs coach as couple of years ago gave me the impression that he had a bit of an attitude problem.

I think with Edwards he was a pretty nice kid until he hit that difficult age of 14/15 and then he went through that typical "I'm a bad man" phase where he was insolent and obnoxious, which is completely normal. As far as I'm aware it didn't last long and although he is impatient and is not backwards in coming forwards when it comes to arguing his case his attitude is fine. I don't know who his agent is so I have no idea if they're awkward or not.

Shashoua has always been very liked rated and liked at Spurs, no question. He didn't get the external recognition that Edwards got but the club always had him earmarked.

Thats what we want at Spurs as well. Players who've got that belief but are also keen to knuckle down. Its the only way any of them will succeed in becoming a first team player nowadays.

I think @Spurzinho has nailed it. I don't think Edwards is a bad kid by any stretch - I know that his dad is quite a big personality!

I believe it's someone called Costas Toffis.

I'm not saying he's not - I think he's very highly rated.

I just don't think he's as close to the first team as CCV, KWP, Onomah, and Edwards.

I still rate Edwards higher and believe he'll break trough sooner which was the point of the entire discussion.

KWP up until a couple of years ago was in the same position as Shashoua and has been quite slow with his overall development making more incremental steps
