Tottenham fans who are suffering from sticker shock over Josh King’s apparent £30 million price tag need to learn a little more about the talented Norwegian.

The article says he's more likely to stay than to come to Spurs, which I've read elsewhere.

Nothing to get excited about.

If we were going to spend £30 million on this guy, then I would rather us plump for Douglas Costa, whose cost has been quoted around the 30 million euros mark. Costa is a top class player who plays for a top-class German club in Bayern Munich.

Maybe King in Bournemouth but I could by. A big house and numerous Ferraris's in Monaco for 30 mill!
He is a good player but 30 million to be on the bench I don't think so.

Don't really care if he is quoted for 30m or 3m. We can't expect to buy players better than our current starting 11 for less than 50m, ps: spending 50m on a player or over 100k a week wages is not on our current structure. . Moreover i remember last year when Sadio manie was being quoted as 35m and it was like no no to expensive. Half way through the season Sadio maine in our team would have given us extra points.

Its so difficult to know whats best. I feel we don't need to do much in terms of our starting 11 however we do need better quality depth in our squad for rotation and competition , so how do we go about that?

We buy players being the obvious answer and trust our development players, the next question is finding the required quality on the market -in most cases cost doesn't nessassarally mean quality therefore we must not be scared to spend big or small if that is the right player for want Poch needs also we must allow Poch the space to bring in our development players.

Look at it from Bournemouth perspective though. How much will it cost them to replace him. They don't want to sell and no longer need to so they will only look at a bid that gives them a chance of replacing King.

The problem is that the market has gone crazy due to the TV money flooding the system. If everyone gets richer the price of every player goes up. 30 mil is how much you pay now for above average players. Look at what Everton has bought for 30 mil.
