It's a fair comment Spurrific! Just trying to redress the balance, mate: the BSoDL are out in force, running around with their fingers in their ears refusing to accept or believe the second piece of ITK criticising daddy dearest. I thought people took a dim view on ITK-bashing?
You mean following on from the first which was dismissed by ITKs who were prepared to put their names to it, now so far Trix and Ben have happily pointed out issues with this latest bit.
Can't you see a pattern forming here Johnny boy?
How can we bash an anonymous ITK?...we're merely exercising our right to dismiss it if we choose.

I doubt this will be answered but I'd be very interested to know if both of these anti Levy goat bits were from the same source.

Levy's main concern now is to keep both Poch and key players happy. One way he can do that is by sanctioning the Barkley deal. He knows Poch is the best manager for the club at our current state with academy players. I just hope Poch and Levy are always talking about how they can add depth for not silly money.

It must really be getting to Levy that the value of average players has inflated to prices where it doesn't make sense for him. I understand the added revenue from tv etc but he has been in this game a long time now (since 01) and he has seen a lot of expensive flops. I guess he doesn't see the acumin anymore and is frightened to take the leap.

Enic owned other clubs before us.

No disrespect to anyone, but the best ITK to date is Poch's statement that no player will leave that we want to keep. In addition he stated that we were not in a position to pay fees and wages that some of our competitors can afford. So why would have the shits now, we presumably have irons in the fire and there have been no departures.

Do I believe the Goat or the manager?

Get what you're saying, but Poch isn't going to come out and say "Danny the baldy is being a right bellend with our transfers" is he?

What ever happened to the first 9 John Weldons? Were they decommissioned for being too positive and buried under your patio?

What i don't understand is why Poch would have sat in front of the press saying how wonderful Levy is and how he believed in the project...surely just say nothing. I don't believe for a minute he did it thinking Flattery would make Levy soften his stance on transfer dealings as Poch is a bright boy.
Ask your self this: How would Pochettino benefit from being candid with the press? How would that serve Pochettino? How do you think, in your opinion, that Levy in the past has treated candid managers, either while at the club or as potential new hires?

Bear in mind Levy pushed the boat out to land Alli when others balked at the fee.
Really? Think you will find it was all determinedly down to David Pleat. All Levy done was sign the cheque. I know that one.

I'd like to say that amongst the postings of some of the finest Robert Smith fans to ever post on a message board that it is Friday and I am in love with the info at @Trix pointed out that Spurs do want at least two in. It's not all wild mood swings and some Dreams ahead.

That's why I said "surely just say nothing". He wasn't asked about Levy he just started praising him...it makes no sense.

Seeing as we've had edomonton, alli, trix and ben pooh pooing it. There might be reason for some scepticism.

Woahh there. I'm not saying it's not true, because I don't know either way. The only bit I have actually heard different on is the Barkley bit.

"Levy cocks up transfers and pisses people off."

That's not in dispute.

"Levy is a failure."

That is.

How many people are saying he is an outright failure? Very few IMO. Some of us want him to learn from his mistakes and (without bankrupting the club) back the manager in the transfer market. We are so close to achieving great things - thanks to Levy and Poch. Let's not undo all of that good work.

I just find the Poch ITK hard to believe. The fact is we are the only team that has a +£m net transfer spend yet are still the most competitive side outside of the champions for the past two years. The problem is most likely that improving this squad is a tough ask considering the players we have. Who wants to be a £40M transfer and sit on the bench. How many players have we been linked with that will displace the starting XI. Also Poch has proven he likes to develop players, I am 100% convinced we will sign at least 3 new players that will improve the overall squad but might take time due to Levy. I have a good friend who is involved in a lot of club transactions and they state regularly that Spurs is the best run club in world football at the moment admired by all of the other ownership regimes. There is no way Poch is not smart enough to realise this. Also whilst people are spouting off about Everton's business, they are only doing what we did a few years back when we pre-spent the Bale money. Ensuring they do not get fleeced with the £80m Lukaku cash sitting in their back pocket. Unfortunately I feel it wont end that well for them as we all know, 7 players in usually results in only 2-3 making an impact!

But the Goat is ITK mate! But I totally agree with you that people will choose to accept or dismiss ITK depending on their personal stance: I have a view on Levy that is absolutely consolidated by these pieces of info; you have a different view. For what it's worth mate, I hope come September you'll be messaging me to say "I told you so!", and Levy's got this in hand. Because if he hasn't, he risks alienating the best manager and team we've had in a generation. And I'm sure the success of the TEAM is more important to you than defending Levy's record?

Sorry trix, didn't mean to infer differently.
I've repeatedly said in this thread that levy can be an arsehole to deal with.
Just that other itk brings slight scepticism (you about barkley, ben saying poch happy, ed and ali saying players bar walker are happy).
There is truth in it but how "unhappy" poch is and ready to walk i have my doubts.

Indeed. The Goat - the actual ITK platform of this very site - releases some info and it is shot down. Full-on fingers in ears, "we're not listening" defiance. Quite amusing really. There is a sense of denialism by some on here, an obdurate non-acceptance of any information that casts doubt on Levy's capabilities.

Even if Levy himself came out and told the BSoDL that he is the devil incarnate, an Arsenal fan and wants to shag all of their wives, they would claim it was an imposter or a hologram or something.

So I am interested in your take on BENs ITK or were your fingers in your ears for that.

I don't think anyone is saying Levy is perfect and he has made many many mistakes but he is a large reason why we are currently punching above our weight when you consider the income the teams around us have compared to ours.

As always with ITKs no matter what the viewpoint is there needs to be a certain amount of Salt consumed with them.
