Earlier this month, sources told ESPN FC that Spurs would not sell the England midfielder. The Mirror writes that Mourinho wants to make Tottenham an irresistible £60m offer.

Where could we get a young quality player with prem experience that can play as CB, RB, DM and score goals?

That's right, there isn't anyone else around. For us to consider selling it's got to be worthwhile. 120 million bid is where they need to start. Upto 40 million to source a replacement, 80 million profit for us.

Is he worth 60 mil probably not and looking at just the players value I'd take that all day long....
HOWEVER is worth to our team and the way we play he's worth double that!!!!
He helps us switch formations during the game from playing dm,cb,rb or rcb in a back 3,without making any subs.
Plus this squad has a great spirit and togetherness I just wouldn't want to break that up for anything .....unless of course he pushes the issues and starts being a trouble maker.

Market value he's probably around 50m-60m (young, England int, long contract, etc...)

Value to us as far as team spirit, mentality, how we play, flexibility in adapting to formations, off pitch 'bants', etc... far exceeds any monetary value

100% agree with all that.

But it's all nonsense anyway. We won't be selling anyone from our first team squad apart from the ones who haven't worked out.

Levy needs another title push next year to keep the feel good good factor going into the new stadium. He knows it and he won't be rash in this window.

I've said it before, the importance of him to our team is much more relevant than any amount they are offering, as is the importance of dispelling the myth that they still think we are like Everton or Southampton who can seemingly be raided by any Premier League rival including them, at their convenience.

Horseshit clickbait.
'Not for sale at ANY price'.
For all the reasons stated above, PLUS:
Just imagine years more articles and sky pundits talking about Spurs being a selling club, all our best players go to 'bigger' clubs, its just a question of price, the nasty antisemitic innuendo that with Spurs it's all about money in the end.

There is no price. There is simply asking Poch 'Is this player in your plans?'. If the answer is yes then we're done. We have a decent turnover of fringe players to raise cash from player sales. To sell a settled first teamer means buying a first teamer who will need time to settle (or not) or let the first team weaken. This short term thinking of swooning over a big lump of money suits only the ones selling papers. We've still got a club to build once this story is lining the hamster cage.

Love how every single time there is a news article, 5-6 posters must post how the story is entirely made up. Yes, indeed, some UK news stories about transfers are completely untrue, but that doesn't mean that every single story is untrue every single time. It is actually highly plausible that ManUtd could be in touch about a specific offer for Dier.

The relentless need to try and unsettle our great team is delicious.

Everyone knows how good we were last year and they can buy whoever the fuck they want but that will not have an effect on us.

Since when has a player ever not been for sale at any price at Spurs? He will have a price, it will just be north of 60 million.

They can offer whatever the hell they like. The club has already said the "Will not entertain any bids for Eric Dier." There is no middle ground.

Isn't he also Dele's best mate? So no chance. It is just the United's way of stirring things up. They have don it for the last 20+ years. Move on.
