I know 50m isn't Bale or Lukaku money, but why were we not out buying before this was done like we've done in the past. Now everyone knows we're flush and we haven't signed a single player.

Spurs have been very good at keeping the feel good feeling around the club since Poch has joined, this is a key moment to announce a couple of good signings.

We're surely close with Barkley and Pereira.

How do you know we haven't. ..... have you ever bought or sold a house?

Maybe because unlike Bale where it was obvious Madrid would pay up a world record fee, we weren't so sure with City. Especially with their interest in Alves. It's only since he chose PSG that this transfer has moved quickly.

What's apparent though ( and a bit disheartening tbh) is we clearly needed to sell to buy, even with a record revenue ( and yes I know we have a stadium to build before anyone mentions it).

the only way well sign a replacement as well as other players is if poch wants it, i don't believe levy would be an obstacle to that wanting to leave the money in bank. if we don't see anything happening is because poch finds unnecessary , and that's something we just got to get on with and see how the season goes

And Kyle walker isn't a match winner like bale or lukaku. He was a good full back that I believe looked very good due to the system suiting his strengths and the team surrounding him supporting him and working hard. I have always said, that walker positionally is weak. He however, gets out of trouble due to his pace. As he gets older his pace will diminish and he will be exposed more. If positionally you are superb, then this does not diminish with age. Clever players have a longer playing career than pure athletic players.

watch walker decline in manc. i like him but i always thought he was a dumbass player. i would say he arguably the best, though bellerin under poch tutelage would murder walker. fucking walker. at least we knw how to defend him. just make him go left and he will do a brain fart. cant wait to see his career decline and drop out of england squad, then start rotting on the bench, pissing his prime away.
