Or Dier....Remember how hard they were pushing for him earlier in the transfer window. Might explain our interest in Sanchez as we aren't going to spend £30 million plus on a central defender to sit on the bench.
Exactly what I was thinking. We shall see

Hate to think.
Do you think he may take a pay cut? Baring in mind it's a WC season? Also, can't see him wanting to spend another season largely on the bench. Especially at the Theatre of Draws.

EDIT: 70k (if true) is affordable. I guess, it all now depends on how deep or pockets are.

we're his perfect club, even more so now than when he should have come here first time around. mourinho has literally destroyed him so only wages and the fact that mourinho hates us would be the barriers. i'd wager martial can't wait to get out of there quick enough given the option.....

if there was a scenario where we'd get him and a lb in the same window (shaw or throw crazy money at fulham for sessegnon) my god we'd be set for years. that's assuming rose is on the bus.....

What's great about this (if it's true) is that we're genuinely bidding for a Utd player with an intent to actually buy him. Someone who is actually really good too, not just an ageing has-been. Doesn't matter if we get him, I'm happy to unsettle anything Mourinho related and I'd like to think Levy or Poch would be thinking 'have some of that you ****'. We should bid £60m for Pogba too.

Obvious to me United have tapped up Rose.

Now I believe Martial is a genuine target for us. It's not the prospect of a swap deal that rarely happens.

What we're doing is strengthening our position against United by bidding for Martial. Remember you don't bid unless you're serious, as a genuine bid takes much work to prepare.

Effectively what we're doing is putting the ball back in their court...we don't want to strengthen them, so unless they strengthen us in a position we need to strengthen in....piss off basically.

And Martial hasn't had Mourinho's faith, only issue would be his wages but from a playing perspective I'd bet he'd jump to come here, Hugo have a word.

Clever move from us IMO.

I think that Mourinho may have swapped Martial for Dier pre-Matic. Can't see him swapping him for Rose now. Unless both are separate £50m deals. Maybe. Rose would make them better and Jose won't be using Martial much (fool him!). If Levy got Martial and Shaw for Rose then Levy is a fkin magician!

Have we had any ITK on martial?

Martial wants to leave. His agent has been doing the rounds. He wants first team football.

Whether Utd would sell him and whether we could afford his wages is another thing.

to be clear, I have no idea whether the story is true. Just that he is looking for a move.

Im pretty sure mourinho has never sold us a player. I think he hates us. Can't see him strengthening us.

Shaw and Martial for Rose please

That would be the best deal Levy has ever done

Martial absolutely, but I don't know about Shaw. At Man U he's either been injured or mediocre, or both. 29 league appearances in 3 years tells it's own story.

I'd rather keep Rose for one more season and then re-evaluate.
