[12/07, 22:25] Living Legend Colm G: Yep. I'd still like a bit of pace though, something different to what we have. Martial would be ideal but too difficult to do.

[14/07, 11:41] Living Legend Colm G: I still reckon Martial is one to watch on deadline day. Mourinho don't fancy him so reckon he can go. Problem is Arse would pay him more

Two messages from my Spurs What's App group posted exactly a month ago.........he is the one player I wanted more than anyone else this summer. Exactly the attributes we miss.......pace and can get behind a defence. I am stopping myself daring to dream!

Two separate deals.

Don't know Martials contract situation but based on what he's done in the Prem so far, he's not a 50 million pound player, albeit he's very talented. But in this market he's still going to be worth a lot and United paid what, 57 million for him?

Rose is the best Left back in the league.

A lot of his fee was add ons though. Some of which they probably wont have to pay if he leaves.

Surely worth at least £70m in today's market. He'd be my dream signing but I can't see it at all, unless it's a swap deal for Rose with United agreeing to subsidise some of Martial's wages.

If we managed a straight swap martial for rose then we'd need to get a new left back before the window shuts and I have no idea who we could get in such a short space of time.

I don't understand the thought that Mourinho wouldn't sell to us. It's the Mata thing all over again.

Once he sidelines a player then he is happy to move them to a rival because in eyes they aren't good enough he couldn't possibly have misjudged their ability or made a mistake. Such is his arrogance.

mourinho is scared of us. He has been saying all summer we're contenders because we kept our best players. He's under massive pressure to deliver the title this season. He isn't going to make us stronger and make his job harder. He's not stupid.

It's not comparable mate. Mata was sold in January transfer window when it was clear Man U were a shambles no threat to the title that season
